Abstract

"A new technique is in the process of revolutionizing inorganic chemical analysis. Galled atomic absorption spectrophotometry, it combines the use of a special light source, a flame, and the equipment of conventional spectrophotometry, to provide a quick, reasonably accurate method for the determination of a large number of elements. This paper outlines the principles on which it is based, describes the commercial instrumentation"" available for exploiting it, and. summarizes current applications in process metallurgy."
