Abstract

The Australian coal industry has been subdued in recent years and only a few new plants have been constructed, but the drive for greater efficiency has seen continued technological developments. The paper lists the new plants and major upgrades, plus summarizes technical developments in the areas of dense medium processing, fine coal treatment, froth flotation, dewatering and on-line analysers.
