Abstract

This paper explores the potential to exploit controls over the outputs of the primary blasting operation, arising from the performance consistency benefits gained in using modern bulk emulsion explosives technology. The former, allied with the latest powerful blast predictive software and measuring tools, offers the user the opportunity to apply control over both cost and performance, which has not been possible in the past.
