How It Works The concept for the OASIS derives from an earlier Bureau development of a canopy air curtain for continuous mining machines (see Technology News #21). In this application, the benefits of a reliable, self-contained, self-cleaning industrial-duty air filtration and distribution system are extended to the minerals processing field. The OASIS draws dust-laden room air into a filtration system, removing the dust and delivering clean air to a specific 16-square-foot area.
