Abstract
This paper has been written for presentation during the Open Pit Mining Session at the SME Annual Meeting and Exhibit, Denver, Colorado, February 26 to 28, 2001. The paper addresses the application of automated monitoring of electric rope shovels to improve performance and blasting technique.
