Abstract

Production of oic at BHP Minerals Pty Ltd's Cannington Mine commenced in May 1997. The initial sloping blocks at the [nine are located in the upper part of the Footwall Lead lode, and the Hangingwall Lead and Glenholme Breccia lodes. This paper discusses the geological investigations, interpretation and modelling that was undertaken for the Footwall Lead lode production block at Cannington Mine, as well as providing a basic geological introduction to the Cannington deposit.
