Abstract

Introduction ??Mine ventilation is a major consumer of power in underground mining, including air heating (winter) and air conditioning (deep mines). ??Any advances, including the development of low emission vehicles, that can improve underground air quality can reduce ventilation demand, and likewise reduce costs and energy consumption, including their associated greenhouse gas emissions.
