Abstract

Hydrothermal synthesis of K type zeolite was carried out by using coal fly ash as a raw material and KOH as an alkali source. The change in various physical properties of the obtained zeolite, such as the kind of zeolite crystal, cation exchange capacity, surface structure of zeolite and particle size distribution were investigated through the overall reaction of zeolitization. The reaction mechanism of K type zeolite from coal fly ash was investigated from these results in this study
