Abstract

Contract m1n1ng in New Zealand developed in the coal industry and has become an element in the success of recently opened hard rock gold mines. At Martha Hill, the mining contractor is undertaking a wide range of activities from open pit mining, crushing, conveying, waste embankment construction and drainage.
