Abstract

"Blasting plays a key role in hard rock underground mining. It is by nature a violent and destructiveextraction method designed to economically fragment the rock into a suitable size for it to be loaded and hauled as part of the specific mining process while controlling the amount of damage to the surrounding rock mass."
