Abstract

In this paper, a model is developed for a resin anchor bolt system in which the smooth bar is modeled by using one-dimensional truss elements, and the resin annulus is modeled by using axisymmetric elements. These two submodels are combined and then incorporated into an existing computer code called Roofbolt. After this development, all of the components in the resin anchor bolt system, including smooth bar, bearing plate and resin annulus, can be correctly modeled.
