Abstract

The development of a fire and rot-resistant coating treatment for mine timbers, along with the associated processing technology, is described. Included are a literature search, laboratory studies of polyimide-fungicide coatings, and leaching and fungus growth studies on coated wood blocks. Finally, an economic analysis is performed tor various levels of production.
