Abstract

This paper will outline blasting as undertaken at the Flour Mill project in the Georgetown area of Washington, D.C. It will discuss the vibration and blasting problems found in blasting in high risk and highly populated areas, and the day to day methods used to minimize damage potential and still maintain adequate fragmentation.
