Abstract

Onahama Refinery of Ryoho Recycle Company employs the electrothermic process for producing marketable zinc oxide from steelmaking dusts. The process comprises washing, filtration, drying, sintering and furnacing. Fume from the sinter machine is treated hydrometallurgically to recover zinc, cadmium and lead.
