Abstract
GASEOUS products of an aluminum reduction cell consist mainly of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. Sulfur dioxide, hydrogen fluoride, and hydrogen sulfide have also been conc~usively identified. Carbon tetrafluoride has been observed only during the period when the anode is polarized.'
