Abstract
Paper presented at the at the Institution of Mining Engineers' general meeting held in London on 8th June 1916: In a previous paper it has been shown that the rate of absorption of oxygen by coal is neither directly proportional to the surface area of the coal exposed nor to the percentage of oxygen in the air. Further experiments are now described supporting this conclusion
