Abstract
Recently, the research and applications of ES (Expert Systern) have been put forward actively in many mining fields in China. After various ES applications or instances are introduced, the paper has especially focused on the exclusive properties of a mining system different from any other system and the problems of the existing mining ES applications. And a synthesis methodology has been introduced in order to develop a applicable ES application
