Abstract

The professional mineral engineer is an individual of personal integrity who has undergone rigorous intellectual instruction in the scientific disciplines fundamental to his vocation; he has learnt to apply these disciplines to the discovery, mining and treatment of mineral resources and, through practical training and experience, has acquired competence and judgment to fulfil his undertakings. In the course of this development he has recognised and accepted a threefold responsibility to society, to his employer and to his profession
