Abstract

The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia Inc (CME) is the peak resources sector representative body in Western Australia. The paper gives a summary of the role and objectives of the CME, including its history, structure and key program areas. Particular attention is given to the role of the CME in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia. The paper details the types of CME membership that are currently in existence. The paper argues that a strong and vibrant CME is vital to secure the resources sectorÆs growth and development in future years.
