The Technique of Top-Coal Caving Mining in China

Longwall top-coal caving mining is one of the major mining methods for extracting thick coal seams in China. The top-coal caving longwall mining was began to use in the 1980s in China, and got the rapid development. The development of the top-coal caving mining technology in China, the achievements and the theoretical aspects progress of this method are described in detail in this paper. And the main technical model of China's top-coal caving mining is introduced in this paper. This paper also introduces the application of large-cutting-height mining in China and the technical level it has reached.
