Abstract
Abstract In order to control and reduce ground subsidence due to coal mining, and to protect building, railway and other surface construction, a new subsidence control method is proposed. Ground subsidence is reduced by grouting bed separations in overlying strata with fine-coal ash. Engineering application tests have been performed for 5 years in Tangshan Coal Mine. Kailuan Group Corporation. China. The technology has been applied to 4 fully mechanized sublevel caving mining faces. Its effect in reducing subsidence has been significant. The technology including grouting engineering design method and ground subsidence prediction theory is introduced in detail. Keywords: overlying strata separation, multi-layer grouting, subsidence control
