Abstract

Mine-to-mill optimization begins with a clear understanding and ongoing assessment of blasting, crushing, and grinding operations. Modification of blasting practices to optimize feed size can increase a mine’s throughput. However, this is only an initial step. To optimize the entire process and fully utilize downstream equipment, fragmentation must be measured at critical points along the size reduction circuit
