Abstract

It is shown that most of the variation in the results of semi-batch flotation tests is related to the unavoidably stochastic nature of the flotation process. The preparation and analysis of flotation samples and, to some extent, operator error in performing the flotation test procedure are responsible for a small proportion of the observed variability of the calculated flotation performance indices
