During 1999 there was a considerable turnaround in world prices for most minerals and energy commodities, except for the bulk commodities (coal and iron ore). The main reasons for this turnaround were: improved prospects in demand for most minerals and energy commodities in the Asian region following a return to both economic and industrial production growth in key economies in that region; continued moderate growth in demand in Europe and North America; substantial production cutbacks in a range of minerals and energy industries; effective reductions in the supply of oil by OPEC nations; and an announcement by European central banks that they would cap the amount of gold they sell and loan in the next five years. Most of these influences are expected to be sustained into the first years of the new millennium. In 2000, with exception of coal, average world prices of minerals and metals are forecast to rise significantly. Gross domestic product and industrial production is expected to grow in some European countries and most Asian countries in 2000 and, with moderate growth expected to be sustained in the United States, demand for minerals and energy is expected to increase. AustraliaÆs main bulk commodities, iron ore and coal, saw prices set for 1999 - 2000 at substantially lower levels in negotiations in early-1999. Double digit price cuts were locked in. However, similar falls appear to have been avoided for coal in Japanese Fiscal Year 2001, while increases of between four and six per cent were achieved for iron ore. Forecast modest recovery in economic growth in Japan and increasing demand elsewhere in Asia are expected to lead to tighter market conditions in 2000. Beyond 2000, world minerals and energy markets will be influenced by the expected robust global supply responses of minerals and energy companies, against a background of sustained economic growth and industrial production growth in major consuming countries. Over the medium-term, a return to declining real prices which have been evident for most commodities in the recent past, is expected as exploration, mining and processing technological change and associated productivity growth continues to reduce industry costs. While lower rates of exploration and mining investment in Australia between 1998 and 2000 will modestly constrain the rate of future industry expansion, Australia remains an important contributor to expected growth in global minerals supply over the medium-term. Australian mine production is forecast to grow between 1999 - 2000 and 2004 - 05, boosted by production from recently commissioned mines and minerals processing facilities and comissioning of other projects at advanced stages of planning.

Treatment processes are outlined for the recovery of rutile and zircon from the heavy mineral-bearing sands on the east coast of Australia. With the exhaustion of the higher grade deposits and the imposition of more rigid specifications for the finished products, strict metallurgical control has become necessary.A description is given of the methods used by The Titanium Alloy Manufacturing Co. Pty. Limited to control the operation of suction dredging, of wet concentration using fans and spirals, and of dry separation using high tension and electromagnetic processes. By applying these methods a plant designed for an output of 15,000 tons of rutile per year has been tuned to produce over 20,000 tons of rutile and a corresponding amount of zircon.Details are given of (a) the method of drilling to determine the extent and grade of the ore bodies, (b) a simple electrically-timed pneumatic automatic sampler, and (c) the methods developed for the physical estimation of quartz, rutile, zircon, ilmenite and "others" in the products of plant operation.The method used for calculating the metallurgical balance and the forms used for the reporting of production results are presented.Examples are given which show the value of this detailed production and metallurgical control of plant operation.INTRODUCTIONThe organization which is now known as "The Titanium Alloy Manufacturing Co. Pty. Limited" (T.A.M.Co.)-a subsidiary of National Lead Company-commenced operating at Yamba, N.S.W., in 1935. A mixed natural concentrate was at first simply dried and bagged and later was upgraded by the removal of silica and the lighter heavy minerals on shaking tables and, after air-drying, was bagged for export. At that time zircon was the most wanted constituent.

It must be stressed that the following comments are offered only to assist mineral industry professionals in understanding the issues involved in personal liability. The information and views expressed herein are not intended to be a comprehensive guide or definitive statement of the law and they should not be regarded as a substitute for specific advice for individual situations. Readers should consult their own legal and other professional advisers before applying the content of this paper to their own particular circumstances. It is hardly news that work in the mining industry is governed by a complex regulatory and legal system which is constantly changing, but few realise just how directly they can be affected and become personally liable for any breaches. These may result in civil or criminal proceedings and personal assets are at risk. Owners, company directors, managers and now employees are at risk, together with consultants, contractors and suppliers of equipment or consumables, as well as government inspectors. They are liable for their personal decisions to act (or failure to act) in managing operations or carrying out directions, as well as for the actions of others under their control. This paper identifies the areas where such individuals in the open pit mining industry in Australia face the risk of personal liability and measures which can be used to minimise the risk or which can be used to make out a defence to legal action which could arise. There have always been a myriad of Commonwealth, State and Local Government laws and regulations with which to comply, and now international protocols are being used as a basis to impose greater obligations on all people. Once, the `corporate veil' gave some protection to the individual, but today there is negligible protection from the full force of the law. Not only are there various types of law enforcement officers, but public interest groups, shareholders, customers, suppliers, creditors etc may litigate. This paper is not intended to be an exhaustive discussion of the provisions of all the legislation or case law where individuals can be held) personally liable. These areas would include environmental, pollution and heritage law (including Aboriginal sacred sites); occupational health and safety (including workers' compensation) law; trade practices and fair trading law; contract law; corporations law (including the requirements of the Australian Stock Exchange [ASX] and Australian Securities Commission [ASC]); industrial relations law; anti-discrimination and sexual harassment law; taxation (including superannuation trustee) law; and the Common Law. The focus is on the following areas of regulation, which are outside the usual experience of those in the open pit mining industry (the Mining Acts and Regulations are specifically not dealt with here): ò Environment Law; ò Trade Practices Law; ò Occupational Health and Safety Law; and ò Corporations Law.

THE nature of the ore deposit of the Broken Hill line of lode is such that it can be broadly divided into two the calcitic and siliceous ore bodies. Production mine geology must be accurate and efficient in order to reduce risk and ensure that ore value and mining operation revenue are maximised. Present grade control practices are commonly based on outmoded and inaccurate 2D geological mapping techniques where spatial relationships are estimated by eye, sketched by hand and projected to arbitrary reference planes. The 3D mapping approach outlined in this paper integrates 3D photogrammetric imagery with implicit modelling techniques to enable more accurate grade control and reconciliation in underground mines. High-resolution stereo photographs are taken of daily ore development headings. Ore contacts are traced directly on a 2D face photo using a stylus and rugged tablet. Area-weighted face grades are estimated and calculated on mapped 2D face planes. In the office, a 3D photorealistic mesh is processed and georeferenced. 2D face mapping data is transformed into its actual 3D location and true 3D mine mapping is performed by digitising oriented 3D polylines representing ore contacts and other geological features directly onto the image surface. Three-dimensional spatial relationships are fixed, eliminating the projection error of traditional 2D methods. Ore envelope and waste solids are modelled within the closed, drift-round mesh. Volume-weighted ore envelope and round grades, as well as round volume and tonnage, are calculated. Ore/waste classifications, grade, tonnage and per cent dilution are quantified per round, visually assessed in 3D and reconciled with short- and long-term models on a daily basis. Updated geological continuity models provide geological guidance in development headings under geological control and accurate 3D structural and form-line mapping improves definition drilling and stope planning. Three-dimensional imagery provides a permanent detailed survey and geological record of mine workings that can be revisited virtually to reinterpret geological ore controls in light of new observations and insights. In addition images can be used to monitor daily production performance, create training scenarios for miners, engineers and geologists and prepare management presentations. This approach adds value to underground mines by improving the accuracy and efficiency of mine geology practices. The world is getting flatter through internet, mobile phone technology, relatively low cost travel, massive outsourcing of manufacturing to China and the transfer of company backroom operations to India. In the iron and steel industry, however, things will remain relatively the same with slow gradual improvements in technology; only the geographic location of plants may change over time. Or will it? The blast furnace smelting process has remained largely unchanged since 1828 when James Neilson came up with the idea of preheated air being delivered to the tuyeres. Likewise, oxygen steelmaking that takes molten iron from such blast furnaces has remained conceptually unchanged since Sir Henry Bessemer invented an air-based system in 1856. These two processes are the core of integrated steel mills that we know today. Typically such mills consist of coke ovens, sinter plant, blast furnace, oxygen steelmaking, continuous caster, rolling mills and metal coating lines. In the intervening 150 years the only real disruptive technology to the integrated steel mill has been the minimill. Based on the use of the electric arc furnace (EAF), in conjunction with a continuous caster and rolling mill, the term minimill is used because steel products are produced at down to one-tenth the scale required for economic operation of an integrated mill, with the EAF producing molten steel using largely scrap steel as its feed, as against transforming coal to coke (coke ovens), iron ore, coke and limestone into molten iron (blast furnace) and molten iron to steel (oxygen steelmaking). There are, however, a number of technologies in development that may cause a paradigm shift in the way steel products are produced and perhaps push the evolution of the minimill as a disruptive technology. Two examples are direct iron smelting, where iron is produced in a matter of seconds by injection of ironmaking feed materials into a molten bath, and thin strip casting, where molten steel is cast into 2 mm strip or less, in similar time. Both have Australian connections. A leading iron smelting technology is the HIsmelt« process, which has its first commercial application at Kwinana, Western Australia, where a joint venture of international parties, consisting of Rio Tinto and the Nucor, Mitsubishi and Shougang corporations, are in the stage of ramping up commercial production. The leading strip casting technology is the Castrip« process that arose from development work done by then BHP Steel, with IHI of Japan, at Port Kembla, New South Wales in the 1990s. Nucor followed this work up, building the first commercial plant for the technology at its Crawfordsville site in Indiana in 2001 and has recently announced an intention to build a second plant in the USA. While both technologies are only into the early stages of commercialisation they are likely to change the face of iron and steelmaking as we know it over the next 20 years. This paper elaborates on the technology of the two processes, why they could change the face of the iron and steel industry forever, what might drive the rapid change and what the changes may look like.

Traditional in situ fan flow test methods under accepted standards require determinations to be made of both static pressures and total pressures during testing. This is to determine the resultant velocity pressures, which are vital in the accurate determination of the final fan airflow. These crucial velocity pressure (Vp) determinations are normally determined using simple manometric instrumentation such as an electronic manometer or an inclined liquid filled manometer. There is relatively little noise or fluctuation in the static pressure determinations and they can be quite easily and accurately recorded. There is almost always considerable fluctuation in the velocity pressure determinations though due to the highly turbulent and irregular velocity profile normally found in such in situ installations. This velocity turbulence means that the recording of such data is subject to random human error as the observer tries to average such fluctuations mentally during the observation period. Worse than this, and in the extreme, the recording of such velocity pressure data could actually easily be misreported if, for some reason, persons chose to do so.The author has devised a field method using highly accurate quartz crystal logging barometers to objectively record these velocity pressures. The method eliminates the ability to either mistakenly or intentionally misreport these crucial velocity pressures and is carried out in parallel with the recognised methodology, so result comparisons can be drawn. As such, a far greater level of confidence can be achieved in the final flow performance results than using the traditional more subjective method. Further to this it is difficult and almost impossible to refute the results using this ancillary substantiation method.The accurate determination of fan flows due to the impost of the carbon tax has taken on much more significance given the financial impacts in Australia at this time. The methodology detailed herein can be applied equally for both fan flow compliance testing and the verification of mine airflow data for greenhouse gas emission evaluations.The paper utilises the results of one 24-point pitot traverse to demonstrate the various findings. These include the very wide range of velocity pressures, which were logged at most of the measuring stations. It also illustrates how the method is utilised and compares the results derived from both this method and the more subjective traditional method along with the benefits of logging the velocity pressure results during the testing process.CITATION:Rowland, J A, 2013. The paper provides a brief review of the multivariate uniform conditioning and the localised multivariate uniform conditioning techniques and presents a case study based on a porphyry copper gold deposit in Peru. Two other important scenarios have been investigated and will be particularly emphasised: The recovered selective mining unit (SMU)s depend on a combination of copper and gold content, which can be expressed by means of ænet smelter returnsÆ (NSR). Two approaches are compared. Firstly, the application of a composite cut-off on NSR on the joint distribution of each grade and the application of uniform conditioning to three variables is investigated, ie for the first approach NSR is used as the main variable. The second approach considers copper as the main variable. In the case of multiple domains the procedure used to apply the technique to process mixed panels is clarified and recommendations are made.

International Decade for Natural Disaster Reduction (IDNDR) program to reduce rapid onset geological hazards along the Pacific Rim. Natural disasters observe no national boundaries; international cooperation offers the best opportunity to reduce the losses these catastrophic events create.

It is indeed a privilege and honour to deliver the keynote address at this 15th APCOM symposium. APCOM has played a significant role in my own career and I am sure in the careers of many of the thousands of other participants over the years since its inception as a short course on "Computers and Computer Applications in the Mineral Industry" at the University of Arizona in 1961. The technical papers and addresses presented at the 14 past symposia provide an imposing record of sustained pro- gress and achievement in the field of computer applications. I will not attempt to analyse this technical side of APCOM but rather endeavour to provide you with a broad popular perspective of the road travelled to date and that lying ahead of us. The name of the series of symposia has changed from time to time, with titles such as Mathematical and Statistical Techniques, Mining and Exploration, and Decision Making being used at various times until in 1972 the name APCOM was coined and the present loga designed by the South African organising committee for the 10th symposium. A background characterisation study was carried out in the Sangre de Cristo mountains, New Mexico, to: quantify naturally occurring contaminant loads from mineralised areas; define site-specific background concentrations; and to determine key factors controlling spatial and temporal variations in contaminant concentrations. The study included a comprehensive sampling and testing program (paste pH/EC, ABA, leach extraction tests) of soil/bedrock from mineralised areas (including erosional scars), and a ground water and surface water quality monitoring program in selected mineralised watersheds. Results demonstrate that high concentrations of contaminants occur naturally in ground and surface water draining the mineralised area of the Red River basin. The erosional scars were found to represent the major source of acid rock drainage (ARD) (~66 per cent) in this area due to: high rates of weathering and erosion, which continually exposes sulfide-bearing outcrops; and high rates of run-off as a result of high elevation and lack of vegetation. The scar material is generally very acidic (paste pH ranges from 8.5 to 1.5; average = 3.6) with highly elevated concentrations of sulfate and leachable metals. The composition and concentration of leachable metals vary significantly, not only between scars but also within a given scar. While all streams draining the various scar watersheds are highly acidic, each has a characteristic æfingerprintÆ of sulfate and metal concentrations. Most of the run-off from the scars infiltrates into alluvial debris flow aprons and reaches the Red River via groundwater flow.

Pine Creek Goldfields Limited (PCG) is rehabilitating the Enterprise Pit to an aquatic habitat and potential water resource. This paper discusses the development and implementation of that plan. Pine Creek Goldfields Ltd's Enterprise Mine is located approximately 230 km south of Darwin. Open cut mining of the orebody commenced in 1985 and continued for eight years with 14 million m3 of ore and overburden extracted. Geochemical testing of exposed rock types in the pit has demonstrated a propensity to produce acid, and dissolved metals. A plan of management has been developed and implemented to minimise the risk of acid formation and improve the overall water quality in the final void. In developing the plan prime consideration was given to reducing the potential for pit water to impact upon the regional groundwater. An interception system was constructed on Pine Creek to divert approximately 9 km2 of upper catchment into the northern end of the Pit. Construction of the diversion system was completed in December 1993 and a comprehensive surface and groundwater monitoring program initiated. The monitoring program and associated studies are also discussed.

PT Indo Muro Kencana (PT IMK) is a surface gold and silver mine located in Mt. Muro area, Central Kalimantan province, Indonesia. The mining operations of multiple open pits using combination of excavator and haul truck is operated. This operation is performed in two shifts in a day. The articulated dump truck (ADT) with capacity of 40 t and 60 t deliver ore to the mineral processing plant and discard waste material to the waste dump area. Overall, PT IMK’s mining operation department is consisting of two sections, namely mining operation section and drill and blast section. Firstly, mine operation section is responsible to manage loading, hauling, pit service (mine dewatering, earthwork, road maintenance) and mine operation engineering. Secondly, drill and blast section is in charge to manage drilling and blasting (blast engineering, blasting operation, explosive permit and magazine or explosive storage). Additionally, conventional blasting method (ore-waste blasting) with non-electric initiation system is used and sleep blasting is undertaken as bulk explosive is buried for maximum two days. The first purpose of this paper is to elucidate about role of mining engineer in mining operation department (mining operation engineer and D&B engineer). At this point, mining operation engineering practice (fleet management system, production control and mining manpower management) and also blasting daily practice will be elucidated. Daily blasting practice is consisting of surface blast design, explosive engineering, sleep blast practice and the concept of scaled depth of burial to ensure a safe work environment in blasting activity. Next, the second purpose of this paper is to explore workforce evolution and future skills for mining engineer in surface mining operation. Furthermore, strategy to advance future skills such as mining continuous improvement program, training and skills development for mining engineer (mining operation engineer and D&B engineer) in order to develop their skills is also discussed. It is expected that in the future, these future mining leaders will become new mining leader, for instance mining superintendents, D&B superintendents and mining managers. In conclusion, it is clear that awareness about workforce evolution, professional development, training, skills development, mining economics awareness and mining continuous improvement program are essentially required as professional development for mining engineer (mining operation engineer and D&B engineer), in order to be commercially competitive in their future career and in order to be adapted with future workforce evolution in mining.

Australian mining and engineering companies have increasingly been investing in the mining industry in Brazil. It is a country of enormous mineral and agricultural wealth, with a well-established mining sector. Some Brazilian mining companies and personnel have been journeying in the opposite direction. There are significant differences in the approaches to engineering between the Australian and Brazilian industries that can cause confusion for companies operating in the other country. These range from differing expectations during the various stages of feasibility studies to style of plant and contracting strategies during the construction phase of projects. Some of the differences are driven by tax regimes, labour costs, or different settlement patterns. Others are the result of different histories and pressures on the industries in the two nations.This paper describes some of the differences in approach found in the two countries and some of the reasons for them.

This paper discusses the temporary support design methodology for the largest road caverns ever built in Australia—the Lutwyche Caverns—part of the Airport Link project in Brisbane, Australia. The Lutwyche Caverns with a maximum excavated span of 27 m form a key component of this major road project, allowing on and off ramps merging with the underground highway. In addition to the two large span caverns, a 15 m soft ground tunnel with 5 m cover above the caverns and two 24 m deep burial chambers for the 12.4 m tunnel boring machines (TBMs) had to be built in record time at Lutwyche.The temporary support design methodology involved the use of a range of analytical approaches, including empirical methods to provide a starting point for design development, key block models to determine the potential influence of discontinuities on excavation stability and 2/3D continuum and discontinuum models to determine the potential influence of adjacent excavations and the proposed construction staging on the design. In addition, probabilistic analysis of potential kinematic instability using a discrete fracture network (DFN) approach was also undertaken to establish the critical block loads for the temporary lining, while the continuum and discontinuum models were used to design the support for the 1.5 m diameter rock pillar at the north end of the northbound cavern.The numerical modelling was undertaken in close conjunction with the contractor to develop the optimal construction sequence, considering the available construction equipment on-site and the overall project program requirements. Considering future water scenarios, as influenced by the increasing scarcity of water and the move towards sustainable process engineering etc, the closed water circuit becomes an important point of study in metallurgical operations, such as in milling and flotation. However, a deterrent in the use of recycled process water is often a lack of understanding of the effects of the accumulation of dissolved ions and other process chemicals. Recovery of the valuable minerals may be impacted by the concomitant complex mineral-pulp chemistry interactions. Literature indicates that these interactions are not necessarily antagonistic to process outcomes. Wet milling using steel media results in the dissolution of Fe from the media, the rate of which is dependent, inter alia, on the type of media and the chemical conditions of the aqueous environment in the mill. The pulp-phase interactions of dissolved ions with sulfide minerals may result in significant changes to the chemical conditions in the mill, which may subsequently impact negatively on the flotation recoveries. To understand the effect of these interactions in the context of the processing of sulfide minerals, this study seeks to consider the effect of three factors, viz mineral type – pyrite (Py) and galena (Gn) -, milling media of different compositions – forged steel (FS), 21 per cent high chrome and ceramic media -, and water chemistry, viz, deionised water (DI) and synthetic plant water (SPW). Ceramic media and galena are used for the respective control cases where the milling media and sulfide mineral contribute no Fe species. Using DI as a control case, a high ionic strength case is used to mimic the changes in water chemistry for a closed water circuit. Batch flotation tests are used as a diagnostic tool to determine the effects of these media-water-mineral interactions to investigate correlations between the chemical reactions occurring and chemical species present during the milling process and the ultimate flotation performance.

In response to concerns over greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and an imposed cost in some jurisdictions, many mining houses have committed to reductions in their GHG emissions. However, mining faces particular challenges in this regard, notably from increasing strip ratios. Furthermore, mining activity around the globe is not expected to decrease in the foreseeable future as mineral demand is driven up by the aspirations of rapidly-developing nations. Novel approaches will thus be needed if any reductions in energy consumption and GHG emissions of mining are to be achieved.This paper presents some directions for the mining industry to pursue in reducing their GHG impact, focusing on the difference that blasting methods can make. Importantly, large productivity and revenue gains can also be realised from these methods.Key directions considered here include optimising resource recovery and quality through:reducing coal damage and loss from throw blastingrecovering thin coal seamsproducing cleaner coal with less dilution.Blast design can also significantly improve the productivity of surface mining by:improving muck pile shapingimproving mine equipment productivityimproving scheduling.We show how a particular blasting method can eliminate coal loss in overburden throw blasting and can lead to large increases in coalmine profitability. Thin seams that were previously wasted can also be recovered with this method. Furthermore, the method has been implemented to combine several separate drill and blast cycles into a single cycle, leading to productivity gains.An illustrative example is given to show how increased coal recovery can increase revenues and more than offset any potential GHG emissions liabilities. WITH the exception of the deposits of the Milburn Cement Co near Dunedin, Wilson's Portland Cement Co., on the Mahurangi River (a short distance north of Auckland), and those of the New Zealand Portland Cement Co., at Limestone Island, the cement. Tesources of New Zealand remain practically undeveloped. The Milburn Company utilizes a mixture of limestone and mud for the manufacture of cement, while Wilson's and the New Zealand Portland Cement companies both have the advantage of a natural cement stock which requires but small additions of highgrade limestone to give the mixture required. The plant and deposits of the New Zealand Portland Cement Co are located in Whangarei Harbour, some six miles from thetownship of Whangarei. The works and dwelling-houses are situated on Limestone Island, which, with an area of 92 acres, and rising to a height of 212 ft., supplies the bulk of the raw material required. In addition to the island, the company possesses a high-grade limestone area of, roughly, four acres, situated on the mainland, 11 miles to the south. Turbulence and its distribution are of great importance in flotation, and have received considerable attention recently. However, there is no mature technique to measure turbulence in three-phase (liquid-solid-gas) industrial flotation cells due to the opaque, highly aggressive and abrasive nature of the slurry involved. Previous research has shown that the piezoelectric vibration sensor (PVS) is a promising tool for turbulence measurement in industrial flotation cells. The PVS is a robust device that converts mechanical vibration to electrical signal, from which turbulence information can be extracted. An improved calibration method has allowed development of a frequency model to calculate the force applied to the sensor. Experimental results and comparison with laser doppler anemometry (LDA) have shown that the PVS can measure fluid kinetic energy, which is related to turbulent kinetic energy, a parameter used in the literature to represent turbulence in flotation. Laboratory measurement in a two-phase (water and air) 60 L cell and with slurry in a 3.5 L cell gave good stable results and mostly consistent trends between the measured turbulence profile and cell operation. When applied in a 300 m3 industrial cell filled with water, the addition of air or slurry to the cell resulted in a shift in the turbulence profile. This is expected because a change in fluid density will change the force applied to the sensor. Henry Walker Eltin (HWE) are the mining contractors for Gloucester Coal at Stratford mine, which is in an environmentally sensitive area in the Avon Valley, NSW, Australia. Normal blasting at Stratford is done in a æstand upÆ or æbox cutÆ mode to suit the truck and shovel operations. Recently an opportunity of doing a throw blast became available when part of a ramp had to be blasted to accommodate changes to the pit design while not damaging the remainder of the ramp. The objective was to maximise throw into the void in order to minimise excavation costs by reducing the amount of overburden to be moved by the excavation fleet. It was necessary that the best result be achieved while staying within the vibration and airblast limits at a neighbouring property and nearby township. Both objectives were achieved through the application of OricaÆs knowledge of blast design, modelling and i-konTM electronic detonators. The i-kon system was used because of its known benefits in cast blasting and environmental control. The i-kon system provides the blaster with much greater accuracy, control and the flexibility to tailor blast designs. It has been found previously to enhance blast throw and provide cleaner high walls (Brent, 2002). The blast was a success, producing a muckpile with a high degree of looseness and consistent fragmentation, with an average throw to final spoil position of 37.5 per cent. This was achieved without any environmental exceedance. In addition, high speed filming showed that the coal edge had remained largely in place, indicating minimal coal loss. The results exceeded the expectations of HWE Stratford and the overall cost savings to HWE Stratford from this blast were recognised to be substantial. Further throw blasting opportunities at Stratford have been followed using the i-kon system to maximise benefits.
