"As ore sorting becomes more common, it is important to quantify its impact on comminution circuits in order to precisely predict its effect on throughput, grind, and mill operating conditions. Since sulphides and other valuable minerals are often softer then the surrounding waste rock, the ore kept by a sorting system is typically softer than the average ore. In order to accurately forecast production, new measurements of hardness need to be performed on the new concentrated mill feed. This paper proposes a methodology to examine this effect quantitatively at an early stage of project development using the SAGDesign test.INTRODUCTION The application of ore sorting in the mining industry is one of the most promising recent technologies with the potential to cause step change in the way concentrators are designed. Most typically, ore sorters are used to sort a given ore flow for grade, either to reject waste from the mill feed, or rescue ore from the waste pile. Ore sorting technologies have been successfully applied at many mining properties in various forms and while the technology has reached or is reaching maturity in other industries, it is still in development in the mining sector. As a result, there is not yet a general consensus on the considerations that need to be made when designing a plant with ore sorting from a feasibility level above and beyond what is commonly performed as best practice. This paper will discuss those considerations and propose a methodology for integrating ore sorting into a comminution circuit at the design phase. Due to the linearly additive nature of the SAGDesign Test results, a “hardness balance” can be developed to estimate the ore hardness which would be measured in any sorting mass split using only two data points. This will allow a design engineer to make more informed decisions as to the most appropriate mass split to select in relation to the incurred operating costs and grinding circuit sizing."

"The Kipawa yttrium-zirconium prospect is located about 150 km south of Noranda, Quebec. Yttrium-zirconium mineralization occurs in an elongate, regionally metamorphosed and deformed peralkaline complex in the Grenville terrain. The mineralized zone, as defined by =.0.10% Y2O3, is 1300 m long and 10 m to 30 m wide. Zirconium content typically ranges from 0.50 to 1.20% ZrO2, The mineralized zone strikes northwest and dips 20 degrees to 35 degrees to the southwest. It occurs at the structural base of the peralkaline complex in syenite gneiss and calc-silicate rocks and is conformable with both the footwall contact of the complex, and the layering and gneissosity in the enclosing rocks. Minerals of economic interest are eudialyte (sodium-zirconium silicate), mosandrite (sodium-titanium silicate), britholite (calcium-silica phosphate), and a few other uncommon zirconium and titanium silicate minerals.The highest and most continuous yttrium grades occur in the upper part of the syenite gneiss unit in areas containing eudialyte, mosandrite and minor britholite. Yttrium also occurs in britholite in calc-silicate rocks and in mosandrite in syenitic rocks in the lower part of the syenite gneiss unit. Both the yttrium-bearing minerals and yttrium grades are erratic in the lower part of the unit. Zirconium is generally more uniformly distributed than yttrium. A peralkaline granite gneiss phase of the complex intrudes the syenite gneiss and possibly truncates it, and the mineralization, near the southern boundary of the mineralized zone.The mineralized zone is coincident with a radiometric anomaly and discontinuous yttrium and zirconium soil anomalies.More drilling and metallurgical studies will be required to determine the economic viability of the yttrium and zirconium mineralization at Kipawa."

"Abstract - Four main podiform occurrences of chromite have been distinguished in the ultramafic Bulqiza massif, Albania; they are associated from the bottom to the top with: i) basal harzburgites (lower tectonite sequence), ii) dunitic lens-bearing harzbugites (middle-upper tectonite sequence), iii) layered chromitite-bearing dunites of transitional zone, and, iiii) the stratigraphically lowermost part of the magmatic section. However, only the occurrences hosted by rocks ii) and iii) are economically important.Chromite compositions similar to those of other podiform chromites are bimodal. Thus, chromites from occurrences ii) and iii) are richer in Cr than chromites from the other two occurrences. Accessory chromite disseminated throughout the massif is richer in Fe than orebody chromite, displaying similar range of the Cr/Cr+Al ratios, with accessory residue chromite matching the characteristic (Cr/Cr+Al >0.6) range of type-III Alpine peridotites. Both orebody and accessory chromites show compositional ranges correlating with host-rock compositions, i.e., the Cr-rich chromites are hosted by the most refractory ultramafic rocks. Therefore, the Cr/Cr+Al and Mg/Fetot (Cr/Fetot) ratios of chromite are useful for exploration of high-grade, metallurgical chromite ore at Bulqiza and in other massifs of similar geodynamic setting."

"In China, more than 90 percent of titanium resources are reserved in vanadic titano-magnetite deposits. In this type of ore, the same elements such as Ti, Fe, Ca, Mg exist on surface of both ilmenite and titanaugite (the gangue mineral) because of isomorphism, which makes selective flotation difficult. Therefore, how to enlarge the floatability difference between these two minerals has always been a research emphasis and still needs to be studied further. In this paper, the pre-treatment methods using ultrasonic wave were proposed. The results indicate that ultrasonic treatment shows beneficial effect to enlarge the floatability difference, and the effect will be strengthened by extending the ultrasonic treatment time or increasing the ultrasonic power. The mechanism was investigated through infrared spectroscopic (FT-IR) analysis. Collector interacts with Ca and Mg which results in titanaugite flotation, after ultrasonic treatment, the dissolution of Ca and Mg is intensified, which leads to the lack of active points on mineral surface, so the floatability of titanaugite is depressed. Meanwhile, collector mainly interacts with Fe which results in ilmenite flotation, and the present of ultrasonic might promote its oxidation (Fe2+ to Fe3+), so the floatability of ilmenite after sonication is increased.INTRODUCTIONUltrasonic is the sound wave with frequency of 2 × 10-4 Hz~2 × 10-9Hz. Since the first International Symposium of Sonochemistry in 1986, the application of ultrasonic wave is more and more extensive. In researches about mining and metallurgy, various investigators have shown that intensive acoustic fields can modify the state of a mineral, leading to chemical or dispersive effects. Generally, the effect of ultrasonic vibration depends upon the nature of the mineral and also the way ultrasonic wave is applied (Celik, 1989; Ozkan, 2002). In addition, ultrasonic treatment usually plays roles of removal of reagents adsorbed layer from minerals and emulsification of flotation reagents when it is used in flotation (Nicol, Engel, & Teh, 1986; Slaczka, 1987; Djendova & Mehandj, 1992; Farmer, Collings, & Jameson, 2000; Gurpinar, Sonmez, & Bozkurt, 2004)."

"The distribution of gold in the grinding-classification circuit of an operating gold plant was determined by assaying the size fractions of samples from each of the streams. This analysis identified the streams with the maximum potential for gravity recovery of gold and revealed that there was up 110 seventy-five times as much gold in the primary cyclone underflow as in the concentrator feed.Laboratory jigging and tabling tests were done on samples from two of the streams to determine what the recovery might be with a gravity circuit and to show that a high grade concentrate could be produced. A numerical simulation procedure was used to calculate a material balance for a circuit that included gravity separation on the primary cyclone underflow. The numerical simulation optimistically indicated that as much as 84% of the gold might be recovered in a reasonable grade of concentrate even though the recovery in batch bench scale tests was only 14%.Incorporation of a gravity separation device would reduce the inventory of gold in the grinding-classification circuit.INTRODUCTIONMany gold concentrating plants include a gravity concentration operation while others do not and the reasons that some do and some do not is not clear. Some of the advantages and disadvantages of gravity circuits are discussed by Penman (Penman 1987) without clear cut resolution. Penman's comments elicited an interesting response from Lloyd (1989) who produced a simple way to determine if the addition of a gravity concentration circuit would enhance the recovery of gold. Lloyd's method does not consider the cost of running the circuit so it only partially answers the question. There are reports in the literature (Wells and Patel 1991, Matwijenko 1988) that as much as 60% of the entire production comes from a gravity circuit when it is used, and that the grade of the concentrate produced often exceeds 65% gold, an assay that far exceeds most Merrill-Crowe precipitates that are sent to refining. In at least one instance (Hood 1984) a range of recovery from 40-50% was indicated from laboratory test work and the plant subsequently realized recoveries in the range of 26-40%. Despite these favorable numbers other plants use gravity separation when as little as 20% of the gold is recovered in the gravity concentrate (Carter 1992)."

This work explores the effect of ore hardness variability on the design of a solar photovoltaic system with battery storage and grid backup, to operate a semi-autogenous grinding mill (SAG). First, a case of two synthetic ore populations was studied, without any consideration of spatial distribution. The mean and variance of the ore hardness (measured in specific energy consumption) of both populations were subjected to a sensitivity analysis. The operation was evaluated with one and two stockpiles. The latter allows classifying according to ore hardness to adapt the SAG energy consumption to the solar cycle. The results show that using two stockpiles allows achieving a larger autonomy (i.e., fewer energy imports) at lower total costs, especially when the difference of mean hardness between the two populations is large. The difference in variance (between the two populations) has a smaller impact on the design recommendations. Second, a case study was performed considering the spatial distribution of geometallurgical units. Two cases were considered: (a) brownfield, when there is historical information of the actual variability of the ore hardness; and (b) greenfield, when the system design relies mainly on geometallurgical modeling. Brownfield and greenfield planning result in similar sizing recommendations of the solar power plant if precise drill cores are available. In this case, geometallurgical modeling is an effective tool for forecasting the energy demand necessary for designing the power plant. INTRODUCTION Solar energy can help make mining more sustainable (Moreno-Leiva et al., 2017). With falling battery costs, an autonomous solar supply is soon to become an economical alternative in many parts of the world, even in the presence of a larger power grid (Child et al., 2017). Although this, places with high solar radiation such as the Atacama Desert in Chile, nowadays show a large potential of incorporating solar energy as a supply of energy. Many of the Chilean copper mines are in this zone making it interesting to study their compatibility and potential of integrating this renewable source to their operation. The power demand in a copper mineral processing plant is determined by the main power loads in grinding and flotation, with grinding typically the largest power consumer, especially the semi-autogenous grinding (SAG) mills (Wei and Craig, 2009). In Chile, it corresponds on average the 50% of the electrical energy consumption (COCHILCO, 2013). Solar energy production is determined by the irradiance perceived into the solar photovoltaic (PV) panels (which varies through the geographic location) and several other climatic parameters such as the current season, humidity, temperature, altitude, and others (Molina et al., 2017). Also, solar energy is only generated during the sun hours, getting to a maximum generation at a certain peak hour during midday, and finally dropping to zero during the night. This shows a cyclic parabolic profile as shown in Figure 1. Due to the SAG mill operated continuously, the power supply always must be available. During the night, to continue supplying the energy, it is necessary to complement the solar power generation with a battery energy storage system (BESS), which will act as a power backup and a buffer. For the optimal sizing of this PV- BESS system, information of the demand profile is needed (Pamparana et al., 2017). In the case of the SAG mill operation, the resulting demand relates to the ore-hardness for a specific throughput and grind size (Morrell, 2004). Therefore, for a given throughput and target grind size, a harder ore would require more power, and variable hardness results in more variable demand and a subsequent need for larger energy storage (Bueno et al., 2015). Some people speak the jargon of 'environment' and 'ecology' for political reasons, others because it feeds their need and bias toward attitudes of moral indignation or dissent. Others pay lip-service for purely business reasons. Complete reactionaries equate conservationists, ecologists and environmentalists as either 'commies' or 'pinkos'. Their real credo is the old saying, ""Where there's muck there's brass."" Those who have genuine concern for good environment are not only romantics like Thoreau but realists who sense the danger to our planet if human greed is rampant and unchallenged. The cities are in real trouble. Almost 75 per cent of the population already live in and around cities. Even mining men live in cities or bring up their children in the new 'instant' towns. The ecology of cities is the concern of all. Our distinguished guest Stewart Udall, in his book ""The-Quiet Crisis,"" quoted Thoreau in 1859 as having written ""each town should have a miniature wilderness park, a primitive forest of five hundred or a thousand acres where a stick should never be cut for fuel, a common possession forever."" Mr. Udall will be glad to know that this advice was taken in at least one instance known to me. I refer to Stanley Park in Vancouver. It is a primitive forest of 1000 acres right inside our small downtown peninsula. It remains unmanicured. This month we celebrated the completion of a seawall of 4%, miles along its perimeter. The construction of this wonderful walkway started in 1910. We are very, very proud of our park."

This paper is intended to give an overview of the alloys that are currently being used, as well as those developed in recent years that could be used in the mining industry. In the mining industry, the process equipment typically suffers many different types of material degradation. Abrasion, impact, erosion, metal-to-metal wear and corrosion are typically encountered. Each situation requires different material characteristics to retard the degradation process. Therefore, it is essential to understand the characteristics of the materials and the effects of the alloying elements.There are four common classes of metallic materials for resisting wear and corrosion; namely, iron-based alloys, nickel-based alloys, cobalt-based alloys, and carbide-containing composites. Each class of material has its own characteristics. Depending on the chemical composition, the materials within each class can be vastly different in properties. In recent years, there have been materials developed in each of the four classes using the knowledge of the metallurgical principles and the effects of the alloying elements on the material degradation process.To use a wear-resistant alloy, it is also necessary to understand the available product forms and their application methods. Weld overlaying is a traditional way of using these alloys (Wu and Redman, 1994). In recent years, thermal spray is becoming popular. For applications where over-laying and spraying are impractical, solid components can be made by a variety of casting and powder metallurgy techniques. They can also be fabricated from the wrought products.To select a proper material for an application, it is important to understand not only the characteristics of the wear-resistant materials but also the degradation process. Due to the complexity of the processing environments, past experience is also helpful in making the decision on the material selection."

As the amount of construction information used in the growing construction field increases, the importance of efficient construction field management has been growing. Therefore, construction industry have been tried to introduce and conjugate various software and IT technology such as PMIS, Web Camera, RFID, GPS, PDA. However, existing IT technology especially PMIS have not been performed systematically because of difficulty of real time information collection and decision-making from the insufficient handy equipment. These problems make construction manager cannot efficiently respond to diverse condition occur in construction sites. In addition, after the completion, individual who use PMIS have to move another site and use another system so than cannot use information from previous sites. On the other hand, development of IT technology transmute PDA phone for text-based work like schedule management, internet research to smart phone for network based multimedia service. In other words, smart phone is not just IT equipment but new way for overall industry and it can satisfy the demand IT technology on construction sites. Therefore, the purpose of this study is introduce mobile based individual unit PMIS system using cloud computing and SNS which is in development progress. It is expected to be possible to collect and record the real-time information that occur at the site and make rapid decisions based on the recorded information, by converting the office works that are managed based on the site PC or Web, if the site management system that is based on the smart phones and Cloud computing that will be constructed through this research are utilized. After this study, it is necessary to research about interwork with project unit PMIS system and test on real construction site.

The distribution of water in operating fuel cells must be carefully managed to optimize the performance, durability, and functionality of the system. For example, the ionic conductivity of polymer electrolyte membranes decreases as membrane hydration is reduced. Flooding at the cathode inhibits mass transport, and it can lead to failure of materials. Build up of liquid water in the gas flow channels of a fuel cell stack will create a non-uniform distribution of pressure drops across the individual cells. We will discuss the application of 1H NMR microscopy to investigate in situ the production and distribution of water throughout an operating H2/O2 polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell. Polymer electrolyte direct methanol fuel cells posses high theoretical storage capacities as power systems for portable electronic devices. There are, however, two long-standing hurdles to development of practical methanol fuel cell systems. First, the electro oxidation of methanol at the anode of the fuel cell is poisoned by absorbed carbon monoxide, an intermediate in methanol electro oxidation. Second, methanol readily crosses over from the anode to the cathode of the fuel cell. This methanol crossover wastes fuel, and it poisons the electro reduction of oxygen at the cathode. We are investigating use of 2-propanol as an alternative to methanol as a fuel. 2-Propanol is less toxic than methanol, and it is less prone to crossover from the anode to the cathode. More significant, however, is that the electro oxidation of 2-propanol to acetone is faster than the electro oxidation of methanol because it avoids formation of adsorbed carbon monoxide. We will present active catalyst systems for the electro oxidation of 2¬propanol to acetone in fuel cells. We will also present methods to convert the resulting acetone back into 2-propanol, possibly leading towards rechargeable portable fuel cell systems.

The Boliden AITIK copper mine is located 100 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle in northern Sweden. A pre-feasibility study was conducted in 2005 with the aim of increasing the capacity of the existing processing plant. After analysis, options to upgrade the existing plant were abandoned in favour of building a new processing plant, with higher capacity and therefore greater profitability. A new plant could be designed with greater flexibility to make potential future expansions easier. A feasibility study for a new 36 Mt/y processing plant including fully AG grinding circuits and flotation was completed in 2006. The project was approved by the Boliden board shortly thereafter. Construction started in the beginning of 2007 and was completed during 2009. Commissioning of the new plant was undertaken in the first half of 2010. The grinding circuit consists of two lines with each line consisting of a 22.5 MW AG mill and a 10 MW Pebble mill in closed circuit with a spiral classifier. The nominal production level is 2 200 t/h for each grinding line. This paper presents the start-up and operation of the grinding circuit.

Laboratory scale studies of the development and application of high capacity heavy metal ion adsorbents with uniform nanoscale porosity (denoted MP-HMS, mercaptopropyl - hexagonal mesoporous structure) to extract gold from solutions is described. The adsorbents are selective towards gold ions. The adsorption capacities of these materials are also among the highest reported. MP-HMS has shown the capability to adsorb 330-mg gold per gram adsorbent (up to 30% of their weight). Gold uptake by the adsorbent was found to increase dramatically with solution agitation. The adsorbent was found to be extremely effective in adsorbing gold ions from ultra- low concentrations, like those found in mine effluents. Experimental studies indicated that MP-HMS maximum adsorption of gold (99.9%) occurred under all solution concentrations. Another promising attribute of these materials is their favorable adsorption kinetics. The contact time required for 80% adsorption of gold was found to be less than 60 seconds. The efficiency of these nanoporous materials for the recovery of gold from mining effluent is evaluated and their prospect for application in the mining industry discussed. The process thus has the prospect of becoming an efficient and environmental friendly method to recover gold from aqueous solutions, such as gold mill effluents.

"The Copra massive sulphide deposit occurs as a continuous slab of ore dipping at approximately 40 degrees within a sericite schist formation. The orebody has been delineated over a distance of more than 5,000 feet down dip. This paper is mainly concerned with the mining procedure, and particular reference will be made to the use of steel mill holes and hydraulic roof supports. The gravel backfill line, which is operated both by gravity and hydraulically, is described. The paper mentions some of the operational problems, discusses the feasibility of longwall mining and presents the information obtained from stope testing."

ABSTRACT; The shaft bottom junction in a mine ventilation system is an important source of shock loss due to the combined effect of bend and area change. The occurrence of high-volume ?ow rates through this con?guration can potentially result in high energy losses. The current research examines the process of shock loss at a characteristic shaft bottom junction of an underground coal mine. Investigations are per-formed on both laboratory-scale models and three-dimensional computational ?uid dynamics (CFD) simulations, under both exhausting and forcing shaft bottom conditions. The effects of the plat roughness and the shaft bottom length on the shock loss factor values are also examined. The studies show that the combined effect of bend and area changes that occur at the shaft bottom junction results in shock loss factors that are much higher than those values resulting from abrupt area change only. The transition from a smooth wall condition to an unlined rough airway condition (relative roughness, e/d = 0.112) can increase the shock loss factors by 40%. The effect of shaft bottom length on the shock loss factor has not been clearly established due to con?icting results produced by scale model studies and the CFD simulations.

The problem of processing refractory (rebellious) gold ores is important for all the countries involved in recovering precious metals from ores. Technological aspects of processing precious metal ores are examined in two respects: enhancing gold recovery from double refractory ores; and using carbonaceous ores on a production scale. The dispersed carbonaceous matter (DCM) present in concentrates causes the adsorption of [Au(CN)2]- complex on their surface during cyanidation process. Depending on the degree of graphitization and the organic carbon content in DCM (including kerogens and bitumen), the technology used to recover precious metals varies considerably. The problem of processing refractory (rebellious) gold ores is important for all the countries involved in recovering precious metals from ores. Depending on the degree of graphitization and the organic carbon content in DCM (including kerogens and bitumen), the technology used to recover precious metals varies considerably. The possibility of rare metals recovery, including rhenium, from black-shale rocks, has been examined. Comparative assessment of analytical methods of rare metals detecting has been carried out. It has been proved that neutron activation analysis is a promising technique. It has been shown that colloid-salt fraction (nanofraction) with particle size less than 1000 nm makes up to 3 wt% of black shale samples and is extracted by water under special conditions. The use of water instead of chemically active reagents provides insolubility of the mineral matrix and fully reflects the colloid-salt element of the samples. To sum up, the justification of the choice of technology for processing of carbon-bearing ores is based on examining the type of carbonaceous matter and its adsorption behavior. When the content of carbon of high degree of metamorphism is considerable, it is possible to recover platinum group elements and rare elements from this type of ores. The obtained results predetermine the general guidelines for creating new methods and techniques of processing carbonaceous material for integral development of solid minerals in the mining and oilfield areas of Russia.

Tooth wear on mining shovels presents a challenge for productivity. A shovel with worn teeth suffers from increased digging forces, longer fill times, and an increased likelihood of lost or broken teeth and adapters. Efficient maintenance planning relies on knowledge of tooth decay rates and patterns. A fully automated wear monitoring system can record detailed logs of tooth wear, permitting G.E.T. personnel to optimize maintenance scheduling. Studies have demonstrated that planned tooth change-outs result in significantly reduced costs as compared to unplanned maintenance. A machine-vision-based tooth-wear monitoring method is introduced. A rugged camera is installed on the boom of cable shovels, or on the stick of hydraulic shovels. The images are processed using a photogrammetric algorithm to determine the individual tooth lengths. Tooth length data is collected at intervals during shovel operations, forming a profile of the current wear state, speed of decay, wear pattern, and expected lifespan of teeth. A case study in a South American mine on a Komatsu PC8000 hydraulic front shovel is presented. Tooth wear is tracked over a 6-day period and wear rate statistics are computed for 6 teeth. This validates the system and provides an example of how wear patterns can be recorded and analysed by an automatic system. Armed with this data, mine personnel can reduce the cost and lost time due to unplanned maintenance, and observe the effects of mine conditions and operator behaviour on tooth wear.

INTRODUCTION MINERAL deposits of Salmo map-area (Figure 1) have aroused the interest of prospectors for more than a half-century. Properties within the map-area have produced lead, zinc, silver, tungsten, and gold. Sheep Creek mining camp ranks fifth in the Province in the total production of gold, but during recent years interest has been concentrated upon base metals, and meticulous prospecting and exploration have resulted in the discovery of many large zinc-lead orebodies. PREVIOUS WORK Geological investigations of the region were begun long ago, and it is interesting to trace the development of ideas with our increasing knowledge of the geology of this complex area. The first geological examination of the rocks of Salmo map-area was made in 1859-60 by H. Bauerman (1), who was employed as geologist accompanying the first international Boundary Survey. Bauerman examined the rocks exposed along Pend d'Oreille river and published a section indicating that the sedimentary rocks are probably of Palaeozoic age, and are intruded by granite of unknown age. McConnell and Brock(2), in 1894 - 1900, carried out the reconnaissance mapping of the West Kootenay Sheet, on which they outlined the Mesozoic rocks of the Rossland Beaver Mountain volcanic groups that they believed rested unconformably upon the sedimentary rocks to the southeast, which they regarded as of Palaeozoic age.

"The Kidd Creek concentrator is situated adjacent to Highway 101, twenty-four kilometres east of the center of the city of Timmins, Ontario. Sulphide ore, received by train from the minesite twenty-nine kilometres away, is processed at a rate of twelve thousand metric tonnes per day. Saleable concentrates of copper, zinc, lead and tin are produced.The concentrator contains secondary crushing, grinding, flotation, gravity separation and concentrate handling facilities. "Abstract - Where block (selective mining unit) grade distributions can be determined, the effect of average random errors of block grade estimates on metal recovery can be evaluated quantitatively. That is, for a given estimation error and cutoff grade, it is possible to calculate the quantity of metal that is lost as a result of misclassifying ore blocks as waste, as well as the dilution that ensues from misclassifying waste blocks as ore. Example calculations using a computer program GAINLOSS and realistic block grade distribution parameters for both a porphyry-type deposit and an epithermal gold deposit illustrate some fundamental relations that are important in quality control of estimation and in reconciliations concerning a comparison of ore estimates with production.Where the cutoff grade is on the lower tail of the grade distribution, metal arising from dilution can be much less than metal lost through misclassifying ore as waste. Hence, average grade of milled material could possibly be higher than expected (estimated) and tonnes milled will be smaller than estimated.Where the cutoff grade is on the higher tail of the grade distribution, tonnes arising from dilution will be greater than tonnes lost by misclassifying ore as waste. Thus, tonnage mined will be greater than estimated and the average grade milled will be less than estimated.The software GAINLOSS permits rapid comparison of the tonnes and average grade for all blocks selected as ore for a variety of levels of block estimation errors. These comparisons can be incorporated in a financial analysis to evaluate whether or not it is worthwhile to improve a high, average block estimation error to some lower value."
