The presence of xenon isotopes from in-situ spontaneous fission of short-lived Pu244 has been confirmed in Hadean detrital zircons from Western Australia. Hadean and meteoritic zircons can retain secondary overgrowths developed after primary cristalization at 3.97-3.94 Gyr. On the moon, the metal grain in sample 66095,78 is mantled by troilite, schreibersite and cohenite. High chlorine content FeCl2 is deposited around metallic FeNi. The magnitude of Pollonium-210 to Radon-222 on the Aristarchus plateau spectrum indicates a past greater activity. The Earth Moon system from Nb/Ta systematics is consistent with a Moon iron core delayed to 3,9 Gyr.

"From a technologist's point of view, there have been few fundamental 'breakthroughs' in the process of gold extraction since the turn of the century. However, the industry has made a great deal of progress in its response to the problems that have arisen: a changing demand for products, lower grade and more refractory ores, inflated labour and materials cost and the increasing control of governmental legislation. The trend in North America and South Africa to alleviate these problems has been to adopt a common policy to process larger tonnages of lowgrade ore through more efficient milling circuits. Here, however, is where the similarity ends.The purpose of this paper is to emphasise the different principles of practice employed by extraction plants in North America and South Africa to achieve the same common goal, namely gold bullion.2.0 INTRODUCTIONTwo very important aspects of extraction metallurgy for which the metallurgical engineer is responsible are plant design and plant commissioning.In North America and South Africa the importance of these aspects is due to the fact that both are related to the financial success of the project of which they form part. Good design is imperative if the capital invested in both the plant and the whole mining undertaking is to reap maximum profit. Furthermore, good design leads to a carefully planned and well executed start-up procedure resulting in bringing the plant into production on time, at designed efficiency and within budget.Due to the competent nature of the quartz pebble conglomerate and quartzite ore on the South African Witwatersrand, the characteristics of the ore type are not much different from one mine to the other. Thus a significant operating knowledge and experience has been built up over the years and there is considerably less risk in selecting a gold extraction process route."

The hardening behaviour and microstructure evolution of Cu-30Ni-30Mn alloys aged at 350 °C has been investigated utilizing optical microscope, scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscopy and Vickers hardness tester. The results show that the discontinuous precipitation of NiMn phase results in a remarkably hardening effect in Cu-30Ni-30Mn alloy during aging at 350 °C. The maximum hardness (~494HV) is attained in the sample after aged for 48 h. The NiMn precipitates are ordered and have a face-centered tetragonal structure. The coherent orientation relationship between the NiMn precipitates and Cu matrix is (220)Matrix // (220)P, [1-1-2]Matrix // [1-1-2]P. In addition, there is a linear relationship between hardness and volume fraction of the discontinuous precipitation, which indicates that the hardness increment of Cu-Ni-Mn alloys aged at 350 °C is attributed to the microstructure characteristics of discontinuous precipitation. The high strength of discontinuous precipitation colony is caused by the formation of nanoscale NiMn precipitates with a lamellar structure in discontinuous precipitation. INTRODUCTION Cu-Ni-Mn alloys are attractive candidates for oil drilling, aerospace and energy applications due to their high elasticity, high strength and excellent corrosion resistance (Sun et al., 2009; Liu, Yang, Xia, Jiang, & Gui, 2016). The high strength of the Cu-Ni-Mn alloys is mainly attributed to the precipitation of NiMn phase (Shapiro, Tyler, & Lanam, 1974; Xie et al., 2015). The uniformly dispersed nanoprecipitates formed by continuous precipitation can impede dislocation movement, and thereby lead to a significant improvement in strength of traditional precipitation-strengthened alloys. However, it is reported that there are two precipitation types observed in Cu-Ni-Mn alloys, namely, continuous precipitation and discontinuous precipitation (Shapiro et al., 1974). The discontinuous cellular colony with a lamellar structure nucleates at grain boundaries, and progressively grows inward the grain on the process of discontinuous precipitation (Ng, Bettles, & Muddle, 2011). It is found that the discontinuous precipitation can occur in many Cu-based alloys, such as Cu-Ni- Mn alloy (Shapiro et al., 1974), Cu-Be alloy (Monzen, Hasegawa, & Watanabe, 2010) and Cu-Ni-Sn alloy (Zhao, & Notis, 1998). Many studies consider that the discontinuous precipitation results in a detrimental effect on hardness and strength, and the discontinuous precipitation occurring during aging treatment should be suppressed (Markandeya, Nagarjuna, & Sarma, 2004; Semboshi, Sato, Iwase, & Takasugi, 2016). The mechanical properties can also be improved by discontinuous precipitation in AZ91 magnesium alloy (Tamura, Kida, Suzuki, & Soda, 2009) and AM30 magnesium alloy (Saikawa et al., 2012). Jun (2017) found that the reduced interlamellar spacing of precipitate fibers in discontinuous cellular colony leads to a significant increase in hardness. Indeed, the strengthening contribution of discontinuous precipitation is similar to that of continuous precipitation in Cu-20Ni-20Mn alloy. Discontinuous precipitation of NiMn phase can provide a significant strengthening effect in Cu-Ni-Mn alloys.

Requirements to produce a higher bulk concentrate grade have necessitated extensive use of on-stream analyser data and computer programming to obtain the targets set for Frood Stobie Mill as required by overall milling considerations.A brief history of milling process changes associated with the changes from a low grade (3% Ni) bulk concentrate in the sixties to a high (6 to 8.5%). Nil bulk concentrate currently will be presented.The heart of the presentation will be the computer control schemes for ""self optimisation"" of the distinct flotation sections in the plant within certain restraints to achieve targets set by the mill metallurgist.

Backfilling has become a popular solution in underground mines around the world. It reduces environmental impact of mining industry and improves ground stability. In most cases, backfill has a high water content so that it can be delivered by pipes from a backfill plant on ground surface to underground stopes. Upon deposition in the stope, the backfill tends to consolidate under its own weight, leading to a generation of excess pore-water pressure. To avoid excessive pressure and protect the backfill barricade installed at the base of the stope, the backfilling of the stopes is usually divided into two stages: plug pour and backfill body pour. The interruption of backfilling operation is undesirable as it slowdowns the mining productivity, and sometimes causes pipe clogging, leading to unexpected increase in manpower cost and further reduction in mining productivity. The backfilling interruption time may be reduced, even eliminated if the drainage of backfilled stopes is sufficiently improved. This paper presents an application of wick drains, a material commonly used in civil engineering, to mine backfilled stopes to help accelerating the drainage. A protocol is proposed for installing the wick drains in a mine stope to be backfilled. Numerical simulations were made, showing that the drainage of the backfill can significantly be improved by the introduction of wick drains. The application of wick drains in mine backfill can thus be considered as a promising technique and merits deeper and more detailed investigation.

"A review of the major renovation of the fifty-year old C-I headframe facilities at NERCQ's Con Mine, Yellowknife, N. W.T. is provided. The project was complete with only two 3-day shutdowns of the facility .Work consisted of four major phases: structural reinforcement of the adjoining mill building prior to dismantling; relocation of virtually all mine and mill utilities which transited the headframe collar en route from the adjacent powerhouse; dismantling of the entire headframe facility and portion of the mill building, including the removal of asbestos siding; and erection of a new headframe, idler rower, collarhouse and mill wall.This paper describes the work and methods used by NERCQ, J.S. Redpath Mining Consultants Limited, Acres International Limited, and others to bring the project to a successful completion. The history of the project is discussed from the planning phase through construction, including; design, procurement, and construction scheduling. The paper discusses the unique elements of the project, the problems encountered, and the methods used to achieve success.IntroductionThe Con Mine is a 800 tpd gold operation located in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Originally owned and operated by Cominco Limited , the Con Mine was sold in December 1986 to NERCO Minerals Company, and officially renamed NERCO Con Mine, Ltd. The Con Mine has been in operation for over 50 years. The first gold brick ever produced in the Northwest Territories was poured at the Con Mine in 1938. The original C-1 shaft was sunk in 1937 to a depth of 235 ft. In 1941 the shaft was deepened to a depth of 950 ft, and the original timber head frame was replaced with a steel structure. Following the discovery of the Campbell Shear in 1946, the C-l shaft was again deepened to its present depth of 2443 ft. Over the years, mine production gradually moved deeper and further from the C-l shaft."

"The formation of ultrafine ferrite by strain induced transformation is assessed using rolling and hot torsion experiments. These experiments are used to examine the impact of thermomechanical processing conditions and steel chemistry on strain induced austenite to ferrite transformation and the formation of ultrafine ferrite. The critical strain for dynamic strain induced transformation increased with increasing carbon equivalence, deformation temperature and austenite grain size. The deformation structure in the austenite grains changes with the thermomechanical processing conditions.Drawing on these results and the current literature, the important factors for the production of ultrafine ferrite are described and a mechanism proposed."

"In the past decade, there have been many developments in processing of nickel/copper sulfide ores. Improved pentlandite/pyrrhotite flotation selectivity with the use of new reagents, fine regrinding and Redox measurement (control) has led to increased pyrrhotite rejection and thus higher concentrate grades. Flash flotation has increased overall nickel and associated precious group metal recoveries. Recovery of both fine and coarse particles has been improved through an understanding of flotation cell hydrodynamics. The separation of copper from nickel in such ores has seen a similar level of development. From the late 80s to very recently, the use of flotation columns, the use of pyrrhotite depressing reagents and the improved understanding of the complex mineralogy of chalcopyrite, pentlandite and pyrrhotite have considerably increased copper / nickel separation efficiency. Copper concentrate with more than 30% copper and less than 0.5% nickel grade is now obtainable at 80-85% copper recovery from mill feed compared to 70-75% copper recovery with 30% copper and 1% nickel grade only a few years ago. Improved copper / nickel separation in milling operations has the potential to substantially improve the processing of the resulting concentrates and thus the overall return from the extraction of nickel and copper from sulfide ores.INTRODUCTIONNickel metal by itself or in alloys with other metals and materials makes a significant contribution to modern society. The relatively high price that nickel commands compared to other base metals is a reflection of the fact that, although abundant in the universe, nickel is sparingly distributed in the earth’s crust. There are two types of nickel deposits that are currently being exploited: complex sulfide ores and lateritic oxide ores. Lateritic contain no copper but in sulfide deposits, nickel– bearing minerals, principally pentlandite (Pn, [Ni,Fe]8S9), some millerite (NiS) and violarite ([Ni,Fe]S) are often found in association with copper-bearing minerals, mainly chalcopyrite (Cp, CuFeS2) and cubanite (CuFe2S3). The copper content of such ores can vary considerably from as high as 5-8% (in some Sudbury basin ores) to as low as 0.1% (in ores mined by Western Mining at Mount Keith, Western Australia and by Inco in Thompson, Manitoba). The valuable minerals Pn and Cp are almost invariably found associated with pyrrhotite (Po, Fe7S8) which along with nonsulphide rock has to be rejected to tails in the primary milling stage. The bulk concentrate from the primary stage is then treated to depress Pn and float Cp. A complete Cu/Ni separation at the mill would be highly desirable but this is not possible because of locking between a small fraction of the valuable minerals. As a result, Cu/Ni separation has to be carried out both during milling and during refining of the matte following smelting. At Inco, Jinchuan and in Norilsk, a chalcocite / heazlewoodite separation is made by flotation following slow cooling of the matte. In the present Sudbury Inco operations, Cu/Ni separation has not been conducted at the mill since 1991 and all Cu/Ni separation takes place at the matte processing plant. Because of the rising ratio of Cu to Ni in the ore, this strategy is under review and this paper describes some recent studies of circuits in preparation for possible installation of a copper / nickel separation circuit at Inco’s Clarabelle Mill in the Sudbury area."

The application of large-diameter bore holes in underground operations at Heath Steele was first tried in February, 1975. Since that time, 90,000 feet of 6-l/2-inch holes have been drilled, primarily in open blasthole stoping, for a total of 1.4 million tons, 37% of underground production. This paper deals with a review of drilling with conventional percussion longhole drills, a practice which is still utilized at Heath Steele, and the changeover to accommodate the use of larger blastholes in underground operations. The discussion will include layouts for 2-inch-diameter blasthole stope blocks, 6-inch-diameter stope blocks, trials for I. T.H. (in-the-hole) stope rooms, and drill pat/ems, drilling and performance. The complexity involved in the development, drilling and blasting of 2-inch blastholes is overcome by the over-all simplicity of drilling and blasting in I. T.H. stopes. This has made the practice of open blasthole stoping more economical and efficient. The future indicates an increase in the company's I. T.H. program. Investigations are being undertaken regarding longer holes to decrease development costs. A VCR stope is also being developed for trial.

"OPENING REMARKS Yesterday and today we have heard some very interesting papers on operating matters and some of you are probably wondering what we are now doing talking about Communications in Plant Design. Let me tell you! Before the techniques we have heard being discussed can be used, there has to be a properly operating plant. It is certainly a fact that many mineral processing plants achieve only limited success and a number of them can even be said to be failures. Some of you sitting here are probably living with operating problems that are clue to errors in the design.If the histories of these problem plants are examined, it will be found that in many cases, the necessary skills were available during the period of the plant design. There was extensive operating know¬ledge together with a full range of project expertise. Why then the failures? In a substantial number of cases it can be traced to the old, old problem of communications. As plants get bigger, money costs more and smooth startups become more important, it becomes less and less economic to fix up any design errors during plant operations.During our careers in mineral processing, nearly all of us will be involved in at least one plant design and I feel that it is as well if we understand some of these communication difficulties that can lead to a problem plant. There is little point in us being experts in mineral processing if the knowledge we have acquired doesn't somehow get incorporated into the plant.I would, therefore, like to present this short paper that mentions a few of the significant communication problems that can occur during the design of mining and mineral processing plants, together with some thoughts on answers to these problems."

That is, to make investments whose value to shareholders exceeds the consideration required to acquire them. Thus the investment decision focusses on the difference between an asset's value and its cost.This distinction between ""value"" and ""cost"" is an important one. Study of a company's balance sheet may tell a lot about the cost of this company's assets, but very little about their value. Then again, it is sometimes argued that a business should be bought because this will result in assets being acquired for less than their replacement cost. This merely compares one cost with another, it says nothing about value."

The Athabasca oil sands mineable resource is located in northeastern Alberta, Canada. In oil sands mining, the ore zone is regulated to have a minimum mining thickness of 3 m and a cutoff grade of 7 wt.%. The current algorithm that is widely used to flag ore zones and waste zones tends to overestimate oil reserves and causes low-grade ore to be processed. This paper presents the development of a more complex algorithm that is more representative of the actual oil found during operations and that can prevent low-grade ore from being sent for processing.

Dunsmuir Ventures? Nanuq diamond project is located approximately 250 km northeast of Baker Lake and 170 km north of Chesterfield Inlet. It occurs at the intersection of the Wager Bay shear zone with the Keewatin Arch, a major long-lived crustal uplift. The newly discovered diamondiferous kimberlites at Rankin Inlet, Repulse Bay and on Melville Peninsula also occur along this arch. Kimberlite indicator mineral (KIM) sampling has outlined a distinct KIM train more than 35 km long and 6 km wide. Geomorphological studies, boulder displacements and dispersion of magnetite in tills suggest that glacial transport distances were on the order of 4 to 6 kms only. The presence of multiple sources within the main Nanuq indicator train would account for its length and breadth. A second train has been located on the west central part of the property and anomalous concentrations of KIM occur elsewhere. Pyrope garnets (G9?s and G10?s), diamond inclusion field (DI) eclogitic garnets and DI chromites were confirmed by microprobe analyses. Clinopyroxene thermobarometry indicates a cool geotherm, approximately 35 mW/m2, and that mantle within the diamond stability field was tapped. An aeromagnetic survey has identified a number of anomalies. Those with down ice KIM support will have ground geophysical follow-up and will be tested in a spring 2004 drill program. Dunsmuir is optimistic that this will lead to the discovery of a new kimberlite cluster on the Nanuq property.

"Crack initiation stress is one of the characteristic stress thresholds in the rock deformation process under compression. By analyzing AE responses of brittle rocks in uniaxial compression, a new method which is called cumulative AE hit (CAEH) method is proposed for determining the crack initiation stress. An advantage of the CAEH method is that the method removes the user's subjective judgment. To verify the CAEH method, uniaxial compression tests with AE measurement using 77 crystalline rock specimens were conducted. The test specimens cover eight rock classes with different mineral grain distributions. Crack initiation stresses of these specimens were determined by the proposed CAEH method and the LSR method, and the resulting mean crack initiation stresses determined using the two methods were comparable. In addition, taking one rock class with 20 specimens for example, the mean crack initiation stresses determined using the CAEH method and those from several established strain-based and AE-based methods were similar. Hence, the CAEH method can be used as an alternative method for crack initiation stress determination.INTRODUCTIONExperimental observations indicate that the failure process of brittle rocks is associated with crack initiation, crack propagation, crack damage and final strain localization (Brace et al., 1966; Bieniawski, 1967; Lockner, 1993; Wawersik & Fairhurst, 1970). Compression tests on cylindrical specimen are often used to characterize the crack development process. The crack initiation stress (sci), crack damage stress (scd), and peak stress (sc) represent important stress thresholds during the failure process of brittle rocks. Among the three characteristic stress magnitudes, sci is difficult to be determined objectively, directly from examining the stress–strain curves. Some researchers argued that sci obtained from laboratory compression tests is an important parameter for estimating the spalling failure observed in brittle rocks around underground excavations (Andersson et al., 2009; Diederichs, 2007; Martin, 1997). sci can also be used to estimate rock tensile strength and Hoek-Brown failure criterion parameter mi (Cai, 2010). Over the last 40 years, various strain-based methods have been proposed to determine the crack initiation stress in compression tests (Brace et al., 1966; Diederichs, 2007; Eberhardt et al., 1998; Lajtai, 1974; Martin & Chandler, 1994; Stacey, 1981). Nicksiar and Martin (2012) proposed a Lateral Strain Response (LSR) method for establishing sci for low-porosity rocks. Meanwhile, they also used different strain-based methods to evaluate sci of Äspö diorite, and the results showed that all strain-based methods gave acceptable crack initiation stress values. Subsequently, they utilized the LSR method to further investigate the crack initiation stresses in igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks in compression tests (Nicksiar & Martin, 2013). Compared with previously proposed strain-based methods, an advantage of the LSR method is that it removes the user judgment when interpreting sci. However, the use of the LSR method relies on accurate determination of scd and on having a polynomial fitting equation to find the maximum LSR value."

About 80 years ago the mining industry saw an advertisement of a machine manufacturer: ?One man ? one machine?, meaning the productivity gain by using a pneumatic rock drill instead of manual tools. Mechanization in mining had started. In the 1950's and 1960's when mechanization progressed the word could be transformed into the meaning of ?one man ? one drill rig?. During the 80's automatic functions were added to the machines. Automation started. In the 90's, the first autonomous machines were seen, transforming the advertisement from the 1920's into ?one man ? multiple machines? operated from a remote control room. Soon, the productivity gain achieved by pure automation will also be flating out meaning that the margin cost of further productivity gain will be inefficiently high. What next? In mining operations there is still a high potential of unused productivity lost by ?trivial? things like organization, logistics and operational management. Changing the focus from mechanization and automation towards optimizing the overall mining process will unleash another big potential for cost cuttings and for enhancing efficiency of production. Optimizing an overall process is a task of much higher total complexity compared to an isolated machine automation focus. And a successful process integration requires the collaboration of machine vendors, infrastructure suppliers, IT services and the mine itself. It requires a number of of important preconditions to be fulfilled: ? Integrated IT systems with seamless interfaces between all components and peripherals involved ? Real time information access in all locations ? Real time overview of all operational aspects A crucial aspect for all of these issues is a seamless communication both above and also under ground and IT interfaces which are easy and price efficient to implement. This paper highlights ways to achieve productivity gains by process optimization. It also discusses needs for industry wide activities in order to enable cost efficient performance of mine process optimization projects.

"IntroductionIndustrial applications of mica utilize two commercially important varieties of mica: muscovite and phlogopite. Muscovite mica is a potassium mica with a general chemical formula, H2KA1(Si04)3 h, and is sometimes referred to as a potas hsilicate. Phlogopite is a magnesium mica having a general chemical formula, H2KMgSi(Si04)3, and is distinguished from the muscovite mica by its decomposition in sulphuric acid.Canada is one of the major natural mica producers in the world. A large tonnage of the mica powders is at present mined and processed in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. This Canadian mica is of the phlogopite type. A closely related mineral of the mica family which is widely used in the construction industry is vermiculite. It is a dehydrated magnesium-aluminum-iron silicate characterized by a foliated structure. Expanded vermiculite, which is often referred to as exfoliated mica, is used as many types of thermal and acoustic insulation, as loose fill in buildings, as an aggregate in concrete, as an ingredient in plaster and insulating concrete , and in fire-proofing compositions. Natural phlogopite and muscovite mica powders are used extensively as reinforcing agents in organic polymers. They also have a wide range of applications in commerical products. For example, dry-ground mica powders are used in large tonnage as a surface finish in roofing materials and as a bonding agent in wallboard joint cement. Common products such as paint, rubber, plastics and welding rods contain mica. Recent studies have also shown that mica powders can be added to portland cement in the preparation of concrete products, as they could improve the tensile strength of the concrete products. Train derailment can lead to loss of capital, damage to the environment, and loss of life. Machinery condition monitoring techniques can be used to develop a structural health monitoring system for railway track to detect faults at the incipient stage, before catastrophic failure occurs. This study uses vibration measurements from a novel material haulage unit to develop a decision support system for railway track maintenance. A variety of feature sets and classifiers were compared to determine the optimal configuration for fault detection. The results highlight the shortcomings and advantages of certain methods and describe the process in which the optimal result was obtained. The Parzen data descriptor paired with a refined statistical feature set performed the task of fault detection with less than five percent false positive and false negative classification error. Overall, the outcome of these experiments indicated that condition monitoring of railway systems is a promising approach for fault detection and has the potential to avoid catastrophic failure.

"New or improved mathematical models of mineral processing machines are published almost on a monthly basis. Often, these models can be calibrated from bench-scale test results and programmed using spreadsheet software to simulate different designs and operating conditions in open-circuit configuration. However, since mineral processing plants frequently operate comminution, separation and/or extraction machines in closed-circuit configurations, open-circuit simulations often have limited applicability.The simulation of closed-circuit configurations necessitates the programming of an iterative loop to bring the circuit to equilibrium. This can be done by using spreadsheet software but often requires advanced programming skills. As an alternative, LIMN® software, which simplifies the programming of closed-circuit configurations within spreadsheets can be used. This software was specifically designed to turn a Microsoft EXCEL® spreadsheet into a closed-circuit modeling and simulation platform with minimal programming.During the past few years, the Mineral Processing Group at the Noranda Technology Centre, has used this software for numerous projects which include the simulation of multi-stage cyclone circuits, closed-circuit regrinding and locked-cycle flotation tests. Using these projects as examples, the flexibility and the easy to use nature of the LIMN® software is demonstrated.INTRODUCTIONMineral processing engineers routinely have to make predictions regarding comminution and separation processes. Predicting the appropriate dimensions of equipment and the process response to changes in operating mode are probably the most common situations that they face. "In this paper we present the results of a combined remote sensing - numerical modelling study to improve our understanding of groundwater seepage in open pit and natural rock slopes, and to investigate the interaction between groundwater, in-situ stress conditions and brittle fracture. The location of seepage is a key element in the characterisation of rock slope stability in open pits and natural slopes; definition of the fracture network geometry and its inter-relationship with seepage, however, remains a challenge in engineering practice. Current techniques used to characterize groundwater seepage locations require direct access to the rock slope for a detailed and exhaustive investigation, and can be severely limited due to access and the limited coverage of the survey methods both with respect to the height and length of the sampled rock slope. Herein, we describe remote sensing methods, which allow the collection of structural and seepage information over a wide spatial area. Remote sensing techniques are shown to have the potential to provide additional insights into the orientation and general connectivity of fractures that may play a major role in the general stability of a rock slope. A preliminary methodology for the use of remote sensing in the characterization of seepage zones in a natural slope through the application of ground-based LiDAR and Infrared Thermography (IRT) is presented.One of the most challenging problems in rock slope engineering is the realistic simulation of fluid flow through fractured and deforming rock slopes. Deformation and the development of brittle fractures can cause significant local changes in the permeability and strength of the rock mass, potentially affecting rock slope performance. Understanding fluid flow through fractured and deforming rock slopes, especially in highly-stressed environments is of great importance for slope stability analysis. Changes in the interconnectivity of fractures during slope failure are an important, yet are relatively unstudied in rock slope engineering. We present the results of hydromechanical UDEC-Trigon rock slope models focussing on the potential role of brittle fracture in rock slope failure, its interaction with groundwater pressures, and the influence of the assumed in-situ stress ratio. Damage intensity parameters are used to characterize damage within different regions of a biplanar slope failure."
