The Bureau of Mines conducted solvent extraction batch tests to evaluate the usefulness of neodecanoic acid ( NDA) for extracting Co 3+ from ammoniacal leach liquors high in ammonium sulfate . This work is an outgrowth of previous Bureau research in which technology was devised for the recovery of cobalt , nickel , and byproduct copper from domestic laterites . The previously devised technology uses an oxidative ammoniacal sulfate leach to treat the laterite , and nickel and copper are then recovered from the leach solution by solvent extraction and electrowinning . This report deals with the subsequent solvent extraction of cobalt from the nickel - copper raffinate solution . The results showed that about 70 pct of the contained Co 3+ can be extracted batchwise at pH 8 using NDA ( a 10 - carbon - chain highly branched carboxylic acid ) . However , NDA had a solubility of approximately 0.6 to 0.8 g / L in aqueous raffinate following extraction , and this high solubility makes it impractical for use with alkaline solutions that are low in cobalt . In addition , the extracted cobalt species ( predominately cobaltic hexammine ) is not amenable to the electrolytic recovery of cobalt metal because of its extreme stability . This fundamental prob-

The Gateway program will provide additional rail capacity between New Jersey and Manhattan. This paper describes how a 70-foot-deep section of cut and cover tunnel was designed to directly support future high-rise towers. The tunnel will link previously completed tunnel sections under Hudson Yards to future tunnels under the Hudson River. The design aims to minimize constraints on future overbuild and future tunnels, while maximizing constructability within a small worksite. The tunnel will pass under the High Line elevated walkway, next to an active rail yard, and close to a subway tunnel. The design was developed by a tri-venture of WSP, STV and AECOM. WSP led the design of major underground works; STV designed utility relocations and the underpinning concept for the High Line; and AECOM designed temporary in-tunnel systems. Construction is expected to start in 2023.

The Goodall gold mine is located 30 km east of Adelaide River, within the Pine Creek 1:250 000 map sheet, at 8 525 000 mN: 750 000 mE, on the AMG grid. The first gold was poured in April 1988 and the mine closed in September 1993, having produced 228 400 ounces of gold from 4.095 million tons of ore, at a head grade of 1.99 g/t. Oxide and primary ore was mined from one large open cut and low grade oxide ore from three smaller pits. The gold mineralisation was discovered in 1981 by means of a helicopter borne rock chip sampling survey, which delineated 13 discrete anomalies. Systematic grid sampling of rock chips outlined an area of 1300 m by 300 m within the 2.0 g/t contour. Over 7500 m of costeaning was used to delineate the A and B-Pod mineralised areas. Geochemical soil sampling played only a minor role in the discovery and geophysics none at all. By the end of 1984, 40 diamond drill holes had been completed and a resource of 3.63 million tonnes at 3.0 g/t calculated. In January 1985, Western Mining Corporation Ltd became a joint venture partner and funded exploration to cam a 60 per cent interest. Additional drilling led to a feasibility study in 1987, based on a Measured and Indicated resource of 4.25 million tonnes at a grade of 2.35 g/t. The host rocks are quartzo-feldspathic wacke and interbedded phyllitic siltstone, of the Proterozoic Burrell Creek formation. The main zone of gold mineralisation, A-Pod, occurs in a sub-vertical vein array, up to 50 m wide and 800 m in length, of quartz and sulphide veins (5-20 mm wide), It is parallel to and on the east limb of an upright, north plunging anticline. Five types of veining have been recognised, with the bulk of the gold mineralisation associated with quartz-pyrite-arsenopyrite and chlorite-quartz-pyrite veins. The gold occurs as particles, from 1-20 micron, as inclusions and along fractures in pyrite and arsenopyrite and to a limited extent in chlorite. The mineralisation is epigenetic and structurally controlled by fractures developed during an earlier folding event. The gold is assumed to have been derived from the underlying sediments of the Koolpin Formation by hydrothermal fluids emanating from the deep seated northern margin of the Cullen Batholith. Precipitation of gold may have been controlled by variations in temperature and pressure.

Sulphate concentration in groundwater is a good measure of the extent of oxidation of sulphides, provided that sulphide minerals are the primary source of the sulphate. A study was conducted near the Eustis Mine in Quebec to determine where and how the sulphate in groundwaters originated. Atmospheric precipitation is the only source of sulphate other than oxidation of sulphides, and in this study area it is equal to 0.01,. millimole per litre. The oxidation of sulphides can be divided into subsurface oxidation (mainly inorganic processes) and surface oxidation (including both organic and inorganic processes) . The maximum sulphate concentration due to subsurface oxidation of sulphides depends on the solubility of 0 2 in water and is 0.25 millimole per litre. Surface oxidation is, therefore, responsible for any amount greater than atmospheric plus subsurface contributions (0.29 millimole per litre). Surface inorganic oxidation occurs in waters with a pH greater than 15 and is controlled by the kinetics of the oxidation processes. Organic (bacterial) surface oxidation is dominant only in acid (pH< 1.5) waters. The bacterial action accelerates the oxidation of sulphides, and large quanttties of sulphate may be introduced into solution.

No processo de fabricação de aço, o distribuidor possui grande importância na questão limpeza inclusionária, principalmente, quando se trata da produção de aços limpos (clean steel). As inclusões podem afetar negativamente as propriedades mecânicas e metalúrgicas do aço. Estudos realizados em modelos físicos e/ou matemáticos vêm sendo aplicados com intuito de propor medidas que melhorem a capacidade do distribuidor na remoção de inclusões presentes no aço. Este trabalho tem como objetivo principal qualificar o escoamento de um distribuidor e quantificar a remoção de inclusões do mesmo. Um modelo físico de um distribuidor de lingotamento contínuo de tarugos construído em acrílico e que respeita a similaridade de Froude e Reynolds é utilizado para os ensaios. A quantificação das inclusões é realizada por meio de um ensaio que envolve um sistema de injeção de partículas de polietileno na entrada no distribuidor e outro sistema de coleta dessas partículas na saída do distribuidor no qual as amostras coletadas, posteriormente, são secadas e pesadas. Com os resultados obtidos pretende-se compreender o efeito dos parâmetros propostos sobre a remoção de inclusões e permitir a utilização de uma ferramenta capaz de avaliar a qualidade de aços no que se refere à passagem de inclusões na saída do distribuidor.

Managing blasting-induced air overpressure levels is a key compliance requirement for most blasting operations. Regression analysis, plotting overpressure amplitude vs cube root scaled distance, will often present a level of scatter which should be considered unacceptable. Relying solely on regression-based predictions can lead to overly conservative restrictions that may negatively impact other key performance indicators. Improved methods are needed for accurate overpressure prediction. The Heelan-Blair wavelet has been shown to closely resemble the overpressure waveshape produced when a single charge is fired under typical confinement conditions. The amplitude of a single-hole overpressure wave is influenced by factors such as proximity to the receiver, charge mass, orientation, and confinement both at the collar and face. Additional factors, including timing sequence, barrier effects, wind direction and velocity, must also be considered. The linear superposition method, commonly applied for ground vibration prediction, can be adapted for air overpressure modelling. In blast design software, this approach can consider all relevant parameters and environmental interactions. Given the uniform nature of air compared to rock, linear superposition using realistic elemental wavelets may replace the need to fire a signature hole. Data from 38 single-hole blasts conducted at quarries and mines throughout North America were used to develop and calibrate a linear superposition model. This model reasonably reproduces air overpressure results from full-scale production blasts, offering a practical approach to overpressure compliance and prediction.

Gibbsite-type bauxite is the main material for alumina extraction by Bayer process globally, while the iron in red mud is difficult to use for the high alumina content. Therefore, the efficient separation of iron and alumina is the premise for the resource utilization of red mud. In this work, the separation of iron and alumina in red mud containing 47.45% Fe and 11.58% Al2O3 was studied through reduction roasting followed by magnetic separation. The analysis methods of XRD, VSM, SEM, and EDS were used to investigate the phase transformation of red mud during reduction roasting. Results show that hematite can be firstly reduced into magnetite, and alumogoethite into magnetite and alumina. Then, the magnetite reduction undergoes the process of Fe3O4→FeO→Fe, while alumina can react with FeO to form hercynite. The hercynite is ultimately reduced into metallic iron and alumina at elevated temperature. The specific saturation magnetization of reduced product is closely related to its main minerals, that is, the specific saturation magnetization of magnetite and metallic iron is higher than that of wustite and hercynite. The mass ratio of Fe to Al2O3 in magnetic concentrate increases with roasting temperature, from 4.55 at 600 °C to 10.27 at 1200 °C. Therefore, efficient separation of iron and alumina in red mud could be achieved through deep reduction-magnetic separation.

A demonstration project has been completed to reduce the operator sound level of an underground service vehicle, a personnel dispatch wagon, to go dB(A) or less. The program objective was to implement quieting recommendations made on an earlier study for the USBM n diesel-powered mine equipment. The manufacturer and mine to which the vehicle was going actively participated in the program to ensure a product that was not only quiet, but useful. The key element of the quieting package is an engine part a1 enclosure, which, with several complementary noise control components, reduced the operator sound level 14 dB, from 101 dB(A) to 87 dB(A). The vehicle underwent a 4-month trial period, with no degradation in the quieting package. Mine personnel reported no maintenance difficulties, and were enthusiastic about the dispatch.

"Abstract — The Detour Lake gold deposit is located within the northwestern limit of the Archean Abitibi Subprovince of the Superior Province. Mineralized zones are hosted by a sequence of pillowed and massive flows, hyaloclastite units, and altered ultramafic rocks, and are commonly oriented parallel to a series of high-strain zones that are co-planar to the regional-scale Sunday Lake Deformation Zone. Early in its kinematic history, the Sunday Lake Deformation Zone placed older (2.72 Ga) volcanic rocks of the Detour Lake Formation over younger (2.70 Ga) sedimentary rocks of the Caopatina assemblage. Gold mineralization is also parallel to the position of a laterally persistent siliceous rock unit, the 2.725 Ga ‘Chert Marker Horizon.’ The Chert Marker Horizon coincides with the boundary between the mafic-dominated upper Detour Lake Formation and the ultramafic-dominated lower Detour Lake Formation. Stratigraphic and geochronological data suggest that the Chert Marker Horizon is a deformed felsic volcaniclastic unit. At a cut-off of 0.6 g/t Au, the Detour Lake deposit contains 17.26 million ounces of Au within 445.9 million tonnes of rock grading 1.20 g/t Au. Gold occurs in shear-hosted and extensional vein arrays within rocks of the upper and lower Detour Lake Formation and within the Chert Marker Horizon. The Detour Lake deposit has many of the characteristics of a greenstone-hosted, quartz-carbonate vein deposit; its very large size may be attributed to large-scale rheological controls resulting in the formation of dilatant sites in permissive rock units. © 2012 Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum. "INTRODUCTION This report on the properties of motor fuels sold through service stations in the United States is a continuation of a series of reports made in accordance with a cooperative agreement between the Coordinating Fuel Research (CFR) Committee of the Coordinating Research Council (CRC) 3/ and the Bureau of Mines of the United States Department of the Interior. The first of these reports presented data on motor gasolines sold during the winter of 1935-36.4/ Further reports were issued describing motor gasolines sold during the succeeding sum¬mers and winters to and including the summer of 1941.4/ No reports were made on motor gasolines sold during the winter of 1941-42 and during the summer of 1942. However, starting with the winter of 1942-43, the semiannual reports were resumed.!The present report presents analytical data for 4,544 samples, represent¬ing the products of 124 companies. The samples represented in this report were obtained during December 19146, January and February 19-(. As in previous surveys, the companies covered Ly the survey include both large and small suppliers. Conforming to former reports, the data cover three groups of samples - regular-price, premium-price, and third-grade gasolines.As the number of analyses submitted for samples of third-grade gasoline are not considered adequate to represent this type of motor fuel, data for the analyses have not been averaged, but the individual items are tabulated. The preparation characteristics of the coals of Buchanan County, Va., are described in this Bureau of Mines report. Twenty-one samples ,,,ere collected from 9 coalbeds in the county. Of these samples 13 were of metallurgical quality as received, and 8 required some upgrading to provide acceptable products. In general, the coals were of low to medium ash and sulfur content, and ranked as medium-to high-volatile bituminous. In 1963, production in the county was in excess of 13 million tons, of which 2.2 million tons were mechanically cleaned.

A summary of the characteristics of motor gasoline for the winter 1951-52 is presented in table I, and for comparison, a similar summary for the winter 1950-51 is shown in table 2. Trends of some of the more important characteristics over a period of years are shown in figures 1 and 2. The results of this survey show that octane numbers have risen slightly since the summer of 1951 but are below the record levels of the winter of 1950-51. The fractions of a unit change since the summer preceding have resulted in the research and motor-method octane values being virtually the same as the figures for the survey of summer 1950. In volatility characteristics the winter gasolines have changed very little. Average Reid vapor pressures are 10.5 pounds for both grades of fuel compared to 10.4 and 10.5 pounds for premium and regular-price gasolines, respectively, of the winter of 1950-51.

During recent years, there have been frequent investigations on the geochemistry of biotite. This work has emphasized, and no doubt was prompted by, factors related to mineral exploration, particularly for those deposits of the porphyry copper type. A large number of papers have been devoted to the obtainment of trace-element data from plutonic biotite. These data have been used to extract primary geochemical information pertaining to the parent magna and the hydro-thermal system which together give rise to porphyry copper deposits. In two early works, Putman and Burnham (1963) and Parry and Nackowski (1963) analyzed base metal contents of ferromagnesium minerals, primarily biotite, from various barrenfmineralized plutons of the Basin and Range Province. One similar conclusion from the two studies was that the Cu, Zn, and Pb contents of magmatic biotite served as indicators of ore development within the granitic rocks genetically related to ore. This theme was then pursued vigorously by a number of authors until the present time. Results, however, have been contradictory, as reviewed by Coope (1974). For example, studies by A1 Hashimi and Brownlow (1970), Lovering et a1 (1970), Putman (1972), and Graybeal (1973) continued to support positive primary relationships between the trace-metal content (usually copper) of biotite and associated sulfide mineralization. By studying biotite in close spatial association will sulfide occurrences, Putman (1972) and Graybeal (1973) developed models for base metal partitioning in magmatic systems based on their discovery of inversely distributed copper between silicate (biotite) and sulfide phases. Conversely, research by Bradshaw (1967) and Blaxland (1971) plus the recent findings of Parry and Jacobs (1975) and Kesler et a1 (1975) found little if any evidence to support a correlation of biotite base-metal or

The success of any project in which gas is injected into oil-producing sands to increase the current rate or the economic ultimate production of oil or in which surplus gas from oil-producing operations is stored temporarily in reservoir sands that have been wholly or partly depleted of their producible oil depends mainly upon an understanding of the underground movements of oil, water, and injected gas and the ability to control their speed and direction of migration through the reservoir sends. Many operators believe that injected gas always travels up the structure and drives oil to wells structurally higher than the injection wells, because the specific gravity of the injected gas is less than that of the fluid substances in the formation. Consequently, many injection wells are located on the flanks of oil-bearing structures with the idea of utilizing the energy of the injected gas to drive the oil to producing wells higher on the structure. It is true, under certain conditions of pressure and fluid depletion of the reservoir sands that injected gas will move in an up-structure direction, but the theory that injected gas always moves up the structure is based on an erroneous conception of the laws that pertain to the expansion of gases. By definition, "a gas is distinguished by its property of infinite expansion and is limited in volume only by the walls of the vessel which contains it." The expansion of gas that is injected into reservoir sands also is limited by "walls" that surround the space influenced by the injected gas. The walls of the majority of undrilled or virgin oil-bearing reservoirs in California are the impervious shales overlying and underlying the productive strata and the "dams" or effective barriers of edge water around the rims of the reservoirs. When gas is injected into the sands of a producing reservoir, regardless of the location of the injection well on the structure or the degree of depletion of oil from the sands, one of the walls which confine the gas in the structure about the injection well is fluid. This wall will be edge water in a nearly depleted reservoir, where the drainage cones or regions of reduced pressure about injection and producing wells intersect; and, where there is no interference of drainage cones and the injection well is structurally above the edge water, the wall will be oil. In some producing reservoirs bottom water may be the lower wall of the space that confines the gas about injection wells, but the effect of bottom water on limiting the expansion of gas is the same as if the water was not present and impervious formation separated the producing from the underlying nonproducing strata. Therefore, since compressed gas always seeks regions of reduced pressure and its final volume is limited only by formation and fluid barriers and since the force exerted by the gas under pressure is equal in all directions, the course of migration of injected gas in reservoir sands in California and the effect of the gas pressure on fluid movement does not depend necessarily upon the up-structure location of low-pressure regions.

Late in the nineteenth century en active coal-mining industry was begun in the Lower Freeport bed near Reynoldsville, Pa., where the bed thickened to more than 10 feet in places . The coal was readily accepted as an excellent steam fuel. Much of the thick coal his been depleted, but there are many areas where the deposit averages about 14 feet in thickness. As the more desirable mining sites were worked out in the Lower Freeport bed, other beds were exposed from which will come the county&apos;s major cowl production in future. The Lower Freeport bed is still the most important bed in Jefferson County from a production standpoint. The Lower Kittanning bed is second. Sporadic mining is being done in the Upper Freeport, Upper Kittanning, Middle Kittanning, Clarion, and Brookville beds. Strip mining has permitted recovery of much coal that could not be mined profitably by conventional underground methods.

The Department of Interior, U.S. Bureau of Mines performs the task of estimating the quantity of coal reserves existing in each state on a county by county basis. As a part of Information Circular 8655, the Bureau of Mines established the criteria for the uniform estimations of coal reserves and listed the most recent estimates of coal reserves by county and by seam. At the same time however, the Bureau recognized that these figures represented the upper bound with regard to the estimated actually usable or obtainable reserves. Recovery of these reserves are subject to the mining methods used and to the resolution of such problems as the use of poor quality coal and competition provided by conflicting land use. These problems, in practice restrict the recovery of the estimated quantities of coal reserves listed in IC 8655. Another impact, the subject of this manual, is the impact resulting from previous mining activities. In particular, many of the reserve seams included in the reserve estimates overlie or underlie mined-out coal beds. Portions of these reserve seams may therefore be unmineable or at best may have a reduced quantity of extractable coal. In order to improve the accuracy of the coal reserve base estimates, the Bureau of Mines funded an effort1 to develop a systematic methodology for estimating the coal loss associated with the impact of previous mining activity. The coal loss calculation model (CLCM) described in this manual is a result of that effort and addresses the percentage of coal loss in reserve seams due to previous overmining or undermining.

A resource model serves two main purposes depending on the stage of a project. The first is to provide an early indication of likely tonnages and grades at certain cut-offs so that decisions can be made on whether continued spending on the project is justified. The second is to provide a basis for mine planning, feasibility studies and reserves. Resource models are not designed for selection of actual blocks in the ground for processing. This is the purpose of a grade control model, which is created at a stage beyond both resources and reserves.Inferred, Indicated and Measured Resources contain different levels of uncertainty with respect to the accuracy of the resulting grade and tonnage curves. These uncertainties arise from three broad areas: quality of information, geological assumptions and estimation technique. This paper focuses on known problems with the ordinary kriging (OK) estimation technique. Resource estimates often produce smoothed block grade distributions with much lower block grade variability than true selective mining unit (SMU) block grade distributions. There are two main factors that are involved in this smoothing. Firstly, where the block size used for estimation is larger than the SMU block size, this will smooth the block grade distribution and move the grade and tonnage curves away from the true SMU block grade and tonnage curves. Secondly, and less well recognised, is that smoothing is inherent in the OK estimator. This also moves the grade and tonnage curves away from the true SMU grade and tonnage curves, even when the estimate is done at the SMU block size. There are a number of techniques, such as simulation, uniform conditioning and degraded search neighbourhoods that can provide a better approximation of the true SMU block grade and tonnage curves at the expense of individual block accuracy.This paper aims to explore the extent to which OK resource estimates designed to maximise individual block accuracy can differ from (an estimate of) the true resource at SMU block size in terms of grade and tonnage curves. The differences at economic cut-offs and above are examined. In some cases these differences are significant. Both the OK estimation technique and block size play a part in the differences observed. To do this we will examine a number of commodities and deposit types using real project data.The conclusion is that the current industry standard default practice of targeting maximum individual block accuracy (conditional unbiasedness) using OK at resource stage, without consideration or evaluation of the extent of associated smoothing at SMU scale, can lead to significant errors in fundamental mine planning decisions. This then has implications for resource classification if the classifications are based heavily on the OK quality without consideration of the true SMU distribution.CITATION:Kentwell, D, 2014. "INTRODUCTION Twin Metals Minnesota (TMM) (operating as a joint venture between Duluth Metals and Antofagasta PLC) assumed control of the property in 2010. Amec became involved with the project in 2011 and in 2012 incorporated additional drilling in order to update historic resource estimates. The Maturi geological model and resource estimate was updated in 2014 to incorporate additional information obtained during 2013 and 2014 drill campaigns. In 2017, Amec was purchased by the Wood Group and is now known as Wood. Geology The Twin Metals Minnesota (TMM) Maturi, Maturi Southwest, Birch Lake, and Spruce Road properties are located in northeastern Minnesota (Figure 1). This talk discussed the Maturi deposit only, although all four deposits share similarities. The following geology is summarized from Peterson and Severson (2002).Maturi lies within the Superior Province of the Canadian Shield which is exposed in central and northeastern Minnesota and extends northward into Ontario. In eastern Minnesota, the Midcontinent Rift System developed during crustal scale extension in the Mesoproterozoic Era. The rift system is traceable, as exposures of mantle-derived tholeiitic to subalkaline mafic lava flows, intrusives, and rift-filling fluvial sedimentary rocks, and in the subsurface as a gravity anomaly (high), from the eastern end of Lake Superior, arcing west across the lake basin, and extending south-southwest to northeastern Kansas. Intrusion of the Duluth Complex, circa 1,108 - 1,099 Ma, was related to rifting and is co-genetic with the North Shore Volcanic Group mafic volcanic rocks that form the hanging wall of the Duluth Complex to the east. Cu-Ni-precious metals (PM) mineralization including Pt, Pd, Au and Ag within the Duluth Complex is hosted by mafic to ultramafic intrusive rocks that are part of the overall intrusive complex. The Duluth Complex is defined as a more or less continuous mass of mafic to felsic plutonic rocks that extends northeastward for more than 170 miles (275 km) in an arcuate fashion from Duluth nearly to Grand Portage in Minnesota. It is bounded by a footwall of Paleoproterozoic sedimentary rocks and Archean granite-greenstone terranes (Peterson and Severson, 2002), and a hanging wall largely of comagmatic anorthosite, rift related flood basalts, and hypabyssal intrusions of the Beaver Bay Complex. Mineralization is hosted in the basal mineralized zone (BMZ) of the South Kawishiwi Intrusion (SKI). The SKI magmas intruded sub-horizontally between hangingwall Anorthositic Series (AN) rocks and footwall granitic rocks of the Neoarchean Giants Range batholith (GRB). The Maturi local geology and the deposit footprint (shaded orange) is shown in Figure 2."

Reconciliation at large iron ore operations is a complex and time- consuming process. Often the volume of data and the large range of different stakeholders makes the process almost impossible. Up until recently geologists and engineers at these operations would spend hours cutting and pasting data in and out of monster spreadsheets, diligently comparing how resource/reserve models, grade control and survey pick-ups compare to what was actually produced. In 2003 the Sishen Iron Ore Mine in South Africa broke this cycle by implementing SnowdenÆs Reconcilor software. The implementation of a dedicated reconciliation system required a number of existing practices to be changed, with the involvement of stakeholders right across the mine. Data sources had to be clarified and validated, terminology had to be standardised, processes needed to be documented and some methodologies needed to be updated. This was a task that required significant effort by Kumba personnel so that the system could be successfully implemented. This paper provides a case study of the reconciliation system implementation at Sishen. It is a story of an operation that evolved from using a number of fragmented reconciliation processes to using a unified automated system. This paper outlines the key estimates and measurements that are used for reconciliation, details the characteristics of an automated web-based information management system to facilitate the process and provides some insights about the benefits that have been gained though the use of a rigorous reconciliation process.

In hard siliceous sandstone strata overlying coal seams, roof bolting is often the bottleneck in the coal production cycle. In the past, these strata have been drilled by pneumatically operated stopers. Although slow drilling is cumbersome and uncomfortably noisy, the stoper was the most effective drill in these harder strata. However, because of the (U.S.) Coal Mining Safety Act, which limits noise levels for operating drills, FMC Mining Equipment developed the water-through-the-drill-steel method of drilling high-compressive-strength strata. Although water-through-the-drill steel had been developed earlier, the real impact of wet drilling techniques surfaced when the dual-boom roof drilling machines were installed at the Virginia-Pocahontas Division, Keen Mountain, Virginia, in 1974. This paper covers some of the technical details of the water-through- the-drill-steel design and its application.
