This paper presents an evaluation of underground-to-surface haulage options for a relatively large deposit. Specifically, it presents a recommended haulage option to provide the greatest value to the Project. Options considered included conventional truck, trolley-truck, conveying and shaft hoisting. The work was done at the level of a preliminary assessment as input to an internal pre-feasibility study. The Base Case for the analysis in this study was a Long Hole Open Stoping option (LHOS) using conventional truck haulage. Two scenarios were considered for the evaluation and included: 1. The current resource to ~700 m depth. 2. An expanded resource to ~825 m depth. The haulage options evaluated included three trucking options, three conveyor options and two shaft options. The paper presents the results from evaluating these options within the two mining scenarios using a Discounted Project Cost (DPC) comparison. Recommendations are made for the options that will provide the greatest overall value to the project.

Panoro es una empresa de exploraciones canadiense con un portafolio de 11 proyectos de Cu-Au de gran escala ubicados en la provincia del Batolito de Andahuaylas-Yauri, en Apurímac y Cusco. El proyecto Cotabambas es el más avanzado de ellos y consta de un sistema de pórfidos de Cu-Au (Ag, Mo), a veces emplazado en un ambiente netamente ígneo y volcánico (Cluster 1) y otras veces en el frente de calizas y areniscas del grupo Yura (Cluster 2) donde además se genera mineralización tipo Skarn. Los Clusters 1 y 2 presentan trabajos de mapeo, muestreo de rocas y geofísica, sin embargo, fuera de ellos existen otros 4 prospectos tipo skarn que requieren más estudios.

Mediante muchos trabajos de campo, se ha reconocido una relación entre calizas, que se originan en ambientes bajo en nutrientes (condiciones oligotróficas), y yacimientos polimetálicos. Las calizas oligotróficas son altamente calcáreas y por lo tanto formadores de estructuras kársticas; así también su fauna que contiene tiende a ser fácilmente dolomítizada y recristalizada. Todo esto mejora la porosidad primaria y a la vez da origen a porosidades secundarias, permitiendo el paso de fluidos hidrotermales mineralizantes.

"La mina Tantahuatay; es un deposito epitermal de alta sulfuración Au-Ag, en perforaciones recientes de extensión por sulfuros, se ha determinado zonas de Skarn al NE del tajo Tantahuatay 2, ubicado políticamente Chugur, Cajamarca, Perú. Los trabajos de perforación 2016, nos han permitido reconocer nuevos cuerpos mineralizados asociados a zonas de Skarn, con leyes de (0.30 g/t Au y 0.4% Cu), emplazados en las formaciones Chulec (calizas), Inca (sedimentos), Farrat (cuarcitas). Los ensamble de alteración analizados son Yeso, Clorita, Epidota, Paragonita, algunos de estos minerales poseen una concentración anómala de REE. Indicativos de una gradación sistema alta sulfuración a Skarn."

The Millennium deposit, located in northern Saskatchewan between the McArthur River mine and the Key Lake mill, has considerable potential for becoming an operating mine. Located in the Athabasca Basin, Millennium is blessed with both the riches and the challenges that this basin offers. The potential for ground water inflows during shaft sinking, and the unconventional challenges associated with underground uranium mining, render the successful development of a new mine in this area especially rewarding. The preliminary design and engineering of the Millennium Project has tapped into the experience of other operations in the area, and has utilized new applications of geophysics technology to enhance the understanding of the local geological structure. This discussion will focus on the innovations, and the challenges specific to uranium mining, for a deposit that is poised to be one of the next mines to supplement Saskatchewan's uranium resources.

La alteración es típica de los depósitos de alta sulfuración con sílice en la parte central rodeado de argílica avanzada y argílica, cuya mineralización en óxidos está relacionada principalmente a brechas hidrotermales y tufos de cristales y líticos con textura de sandy sílica, vuggy sílica y sílice masiva. Sin embargo, los trabajos geológicos y algunos sondajes realizados recientemente en el proyecto han permitido reconocer un cuerpo mineralizado de oro-cobre (0.40 g/t Au y 0.054% Cu), con ensamble de alteración clorita-epidota-paragonita-muscovita, relacionado a un intrusivo diorítico; observándose una gradación de los ensambles de alteración (arcillas a micas blancas), es decir de una alteración argílica intermedia (dickitaillita) a una alteración filica (paragonita-muscovita), lo cual evidencia una transición de un sistema de alta sulfuración a un sistema pórfido.

Entre Huachón y Corralcancha (Cordillera Oriental) se ha identificado un corredor estructural NO-SE (Chaska-Rumichaca) ubicado a ~30km al este de Cerro de Pasco. Cuyos límites son fallas regionales que determinan un bloque paleozoico del Complejo Metamórfico del Marañón (CMM). El límite occidental (Falla Rumichaca) corresponde a una falla inversa de vergencia SO que aflora dentro del CMM; mientras que el límite oriental (Falla Chaska) es una zona de cizalla compresional de vergencia NE que coloca al CMM sobre los Grupos Mitu (Pérmico superior-Triásico inferior) y Pucará (Triásico superior-Jurásico inferior) replegados. Este límite exhibe un flexionamiento de NO-SE a N-S que está asociado a fallas subordinadas de cinemática compresional, extensional y de desgarre.

Aurora College ? Yellowknife Campus, in partnership with the Northwest Territories Mine Training Society and industry partners, has developed a 6 ? week program on Underground Mining for delivery in Northern communities. The goal of the program is to inform and connect Northern residents to the career potential at existing and future mining operations throughout the Northwest Territories. The program content includes an introduction to the mine life cycle, basic underground mining methods, the use of technology in training via desktop simulators for underground mining equipment, safety in the workplace, and essential skills training (Ready to Work - North) and assessment. Students completing the short program may then choose to continue into a long (12-week) program to be offered at the Yellowknife Campus. This program expands upon the initial introduction and includes modules on NWT geology, environmental studies, underground mining processes and underground mining equipment operation using the larger enclosed cab simulator for a variety of equipment being used at northern mining operations. Success of both programs will depend upon a variety of factors, many of which are outside of the control of the developers of the training modules. These will be investigated throughout the presentation. Connecting northern employers with northern employees is a major concern. It is hoped that through the development and implementation of a program such as this, that the connection can be made and sustained allowing continued employment for the life of northern mining operations.
