On the basis of investigations carried out, the author offered new technology, which allows utilising all titanium-contained waste with receiving of finished products: catalysts for utilisation of hydrogen sulfide gases, accompanying oil-extraction. This technology is presented in the paper. It is economically effective and ecologically clean.

Lime is the common reagent used for pH control in cyanide gold circuits. Lime can be supplied as either quicklime (CaO) or 'hydrated lime(Ca(OH)2). Both are dry powders with variable flow properties. These properties demand special attention when designing machin- ery to handle them.

The Singhbhum Copper Belt is an arcuate zone of verthrusting which extends over a strike length of about 180 kilometres, located in Eastern India, 150-300 kilometres west of Calcutta. The Belt is noted for its mineralisation, and both copper and uranium are currently being mined within it.

The method is based upon overhand slice and fill, with hydraulically emplaced washery refuse as the filling material. Studying the ore textures in a discrete orebody is a novel approach to estimating liberation potential of the ore minerals present. As part of a PhD thesis, this project aims at classifying and quantifying the textures of the Hilton North orebodies, and at estimating their liberation characteristics.

This paper describes a plant built at The Broken Hill Associated Smelters, Port Pirie to sample lead sinter automatically. Exploration undertaken at Copley diapir has located several occurrences of oxidized supergene and primary sulphide copper mineralization at the margin of the diapir or in adjacent country rocks. The mineraliza- tion is related to carbonate-rich epigenetic solutions which moved along major structural features closely associated with the intru sive diapir.
